"Great pedal, great price"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I don't see myself ever being dissatisfied until the thing breaks. If you are looking for an inexpensive pedal that to an extent sounds like an expensive one then this is the pedal to buy. It has a number of options that anyone can find appealing.
Sound
It sounded great and I have used it for a number of live concerts without any problems. One thing it could use some help on is that some of the distortions it uses seem like nothing but fuzz making it hard to hear anything. Other then that I loved it.
Features
The only thing keeping this from getting a 10 is that it didn't come with an AV cable so I had to buy one separately. Other then that it had everything I needed and has yet to disappoint me as i never run out of options.
Ease of Use
Plug and play really. If all you use are the pre-sets then it's relatively simple. If you want to use the patches etc. It can get a bit complicate but it's never too hard to figure out.
Quality
The metal frame and large pedals are both sturdy and tough. I have dropped the pedal before and it made it out with only a few smudges and still played like it was new. The thing can take a beating.
Value
I managed to get mine for $250 a couple years back but i think it is well worth it and more.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to use it and never plan to but I'm sure it would be good.
The Wow Factor
I saw this on a website and immediately wanted it. I like the color scheme as well.

"Definitely Get it"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will be holding on to this for a long time to come. I would proboably add a dunlop crybaby to vary both wah and distortion simultaneously.
Sound
I really like the sound that i can achieve with this pedal, i use in in with either my yamaha 112 or my ibanez rg350ex, throught my laney hcm50. It gets a great blues rock tone that i use for gary more and the wah section is great for any hendrix lovers.
Features
This is a great product for number of features, it has all you could ask for and more.I dont think there is a single sound you could name that couldnt be either found or created using the easy controls.
Ease of Use
From plugging the fx-unit is you can get straight into playing. Using the manual you can see which pre-sets are available, they cater for all tastes.
Quality
The product is built like a brick, a tough metal chassis and hard as rock buttons make this a pedal even the wylde one wouldnt be afraid to stomp.
Value
This product is a steal at the price i got it at. And that was quite a while ago, by now it may have come down and become an even greater pinch.
Manufacturer Support
I havent needed it, but im gonna assume its good.
The Wow Factor
This item is hot, its not in a crap colour (the gfx1 was) adn the rubber finish with the design looks awesome.

"Rock solid!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Very happy so far, doubt that I will replace it in the near future but I may compliment it with other effects I have lying around.
Sound
Excellent overall. Everything sounds reasonable. A good all rounder! You must set up your amp properly to get the best out of this unit. Nothing is really outstanding just good overall, although the reverb and delay section is very comprehensive. Plugged into my Simms Watts valve PA head cross patched and played through a 2x12 cab the Marshall Amp simulation is very good - I know I have owned Marshall Master Volume heads in the past and it really comes close - through my VERY CLEAN Simms Watts valve head!! Listen, the best way to set this thing up is to plug your head phones into the output socket and work at your sounds for a while - don't use cab simulations through your amp and play through a clean amplifier - as loud as possible to fully experience the capabilities of this unit. I get the impression that zoom used professional gigging musicians to develop this unit, guys who don't necessarrily sit plugged into a cheap practice amp in their bedrooms! No disrespect I do that to practice but gigging this unit comes into it's own! THROUGH A CLEAN AMP! Cab simulations are for recording! All effects are usable. Best used with Humbuckers dirty or single coils clean. It's a 'working' unit so it can be a little noisey for recording. Love it!
Features
Very happy all the features you could ask for - the expression pedal is excellent for assigning 'drive'. Gentle blues on 'Red House' to blistering solos when required. Brill. Amp modulations work if you take your time to set them up and the chorus/flange/phase modulation is adequate.Reverb and delays are excellent anything and everything you could ask for.
Quality
Very well made. Solid construction almost as well made as my old Simms Watts valve head! Definitely gigable. Should last for ever! Use it on anywhere. Built to pro standard!
Value
Great value considering the number of effects available and the quality of construction.
Manufacturer Support
No need.
The Wow Factor
To me the construction, colour etc is appealing. It has an understated functionality.

Ease of Use

Quality

Value
I bought this for $125 CDN Pretty CHEAP with all the effects you get with it and an expression pedal... the best Get this pedal... i bought mine for 125 bux... but its actual price is $275 and according to my experience, its worth over $350

"zoom gfx 3, the best hiss and hum producer ive ever had..."

Overall: 2 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
look, basicaly, with pedals like the digitech range and low end korg stuff, this thing just dont cut it, even as a practise toy. if you ever want to play live, make sure the audience is drunk, and if you want to record, you be better off with a digitech for the similar price.
Sound
Funny, i tried it in the shop, and found the various preset patches pretty basic, but essentially all up to scratch, but it was rather noisy in the shop. At home in a nice quiet room, i was apalled to hear how much hiss and hums are apparent in the amp modelling, and even worse, scetchily hidden behind a primitive noisegate filter (which isnt part of the effects or editable) a few of the amp models even spiked out, creating a loud sharp thwack everytime i played lower "e" (which i play alot) most of the effects are unpolished and many lack good equlization, sounding tinny or hollow.
Features
good patch mangement system, tuner, drum machine (which i cant find) easy to understand the whole thing. having a metal chasis is fantastic for live performers. not much missing from the package in terms of features except balanced outputs (canon or xlr)
Quality
physically, as i have mentioned, the pedal is great, strong metal and tough pedals, but the circuitry and effects are honestly just noisy and tinny.
Value
if it sounded a tad better, even if the hiss was gone, and the trashy noise gate, then this would be a ten. i paid $270 australian (normally $325)
Manufacturer Support
havent tried for a refund yet, have to leave this blank.
The Wow Factor
i wanted it before i bought it, not after. make sure you test anything musical you buy THOUROUGHLY BEFORE YOU BUY IT
