The G1x significantly increases the versatility of the G1 with the addition of an expression pedal for flange, wah, and other effects. The new Zoom G1x pedal features 24-bit/96kHz digital multi-effects and an incredible 40kHz frequency response. The G1x also includes a built-in drum machine, harmonized pitch shifter and an astounding 46 effect types.

Incorporating the sleek, flowing design and vivid colors that the Zoom guitar effect pedal series is renowned for, the pedals are made with extremely durable, lightweight plastic. Sound: Pretty good, decent sounds come out of this. You can tell this pedal is rock influenced, but if dialed properly you can get other sounds for different genres. Plenty to experiment with! Feature: Simple features although reading the manuel will help a lot. A simple plug in and play type of deal. A couple of foot switches, an expression pedal, digital display, and a couple of knobs. It can run batteries, but it also comes with an AC adapter. Ease of Use: With all the capable sounds and features, you MUST read the manuel or you will get confused. It comes with a chart to inform you of what effects you're using in conjunction with the display. You can then edit and save what you need. Quality: Its a plastic unit, but I'm using it for home-playing and it should hold together. If you're careful with it as you would other gear, it should hold up pretty well. It seems sturdy. Value: The price is as good as it gets for someone just messing around with sounds. Manufacturer Support: Probably wouldn't need it...n/a! The Wow Factor: It's just a practical addition to my setup...home gigging/experimenting! Overall: For what I do (hobbyist) this does the trick. It's a multi-fx pedal for those wanting to play around with many different sounds. This may also work for those into actual perfroming.

"Great value, lots of effects!"

Sound: This pedal has the ability to emulate a variety of sounds. It makes my crappy Epiphone SG, and small Yamaha practice amp sound really good. I love the expression pedal on the G1X because it allows you not only to do Wah and Whammy, but also change Flanger and Delay rates while you are playing. Feature: The pedal came with a warranty card, preset patchlist, Patch translation card, and a manual. Without the manual and the translator card you would be pretty lost if youv'e never used a G1X before. I really wish this pedal had an easier to read screen, but you get used to the two digit screen pretty fast. This pedal has Vox and Crybaby Wah, Whammy, Compressor, AutoWah, Booster, Tremolo, Phaser, Ring Mod, Swell (slow attack), Chorus, Ensemble, Flanger, Step, 3 different Pitch Shifts, Vibrato, Pitch Bend, Delay, Reverb, Noise Reduction, over 20 different Drives, and a built in tuner which can bypass or kill sound completely. The quality is great for the cost and the selection AWSOME! Ease of Use: It is pretty easy to get a good sound right off the bat with this pedal because of the 40 presets. I got a little frustrated at first trying to figure out the patches but it comes fast and then it is very easy to use. Check out http://manualsite.haax.se/index.php?unit=G1 for some cool patches. Quality: I trust this brand and the pedal. If you are hard on your musical items i would not suggest this for you. It's made of a nice heavy duty plastic and I'm not too worried about it breaking. I wouldn't take it on the road, but i don't plan on it so it is a great pedal. The pedal squeeks a bit every now and then, I think all it needs is some lube on the expression pedal bolts. Value: I am a cheap person and hate to spend a ton of cash. This is a great begginer pedal, it is cheap and has a ton of options. Manufacturer Support: I havn't had to use it!!! Comes with a warranty card and the manual is a little hard to understand but it's not in brail so just read it twice. The Wow Factor: The color of the pedal (grey) makes the white text kinda hard to read if the lighting is a certain way. Looks pretty good. Overall: I will use this pedal till it craps out completely. Then I would probably opt for the top of the line in the g1x series, the one with the usb port. I least like this pedal because it's made of plastic. I really want a pedal i can krank on and not worry about breaking it.
