From Our Catalog
The TB1 is a vacuum tube (valve) microphone incorporating the philosophy that the best microphones use high quality, yet minimal components, along with hand selected tubes. Using the finest available materials to build the best possible capsule, the Studio Projects TB1 achieves this philosophy and more. Valve microphones have long been appreciated by studio engineers for their warm yet natural sound. The Studio Projects TB1 provides audiophile sound engineers with the classic vacuum tube design combined with today's better quality components.

The circuit design of the TB1 uses as few components as necessary to prevent added noise and coloration. A special hand selected 6072 "dual triode" vacuum tube is used to ensure consistency. The TB1 is powered by a dedicated AC power supply (DJ8). The TB1 provides the warm transparent sound associated with an expensive quality vacuum tube preamplifier. This perceived sound characteristic has been very popular and sought after for vocals and instrumentation soloists.

The TB1 is the absolute stand alone value in it's price class comparing to models costing as much as $3,000.00. There is no better value on today's market at any price, and the TB1 is so affordable, every professional and project studio can afford one, or a pair for stereo recording or more.

"This is a good quality microphone which should be a great asset to your studio. It is made well. My experience with support is g"
Feature:
Accessories included a very nice case, shock mount holder, cable and windscreen

Quality:
This is a well made piece of equipment

Value:
It is worth the money even if I had paid more for it. I think it will give me year’s of good service. It is a shame that they do not make these products in the US.

Desirability:
This mike looks very similar to other Studio Projects microphones but the sound is a bit cleaner than say the B1 which is OK but not as good as the TB1. Sex appeal does not belong in the mic rating system but if a B1 is a pretty cute girl, this one should stop you for a sec.

Sound:
This mike is transparent, high quality sound despite its price, very good for vocals and guitar. It may not be better but it is comparable to most anything out there. I have not tried it on much else.

Ease of Use:
If you take the time to find the ideal placement you will probably be very pleased with the results.

Support:
I had an issue with the cable. I called support and they replaced it without a hassle. The support is much better than the support I received from companies such as Heil.

Overall:
I like this mike and find that it is just about the best mike I have for the money.

"Good Quality Mic for a Great price"
Quality:
Durable, made to last.

Value:
It's a good value. You are getting a fantastic Mic for a fraction of the cost

Desirability:
It's a nice looking mic. It's sleek, but not sexy enough for me to want to drool over it.

Sound:
Warm, crisp, clear

Overall:
It's a terrific mic if your looking to step up your game from a Samson or other entry level mic. It won't give you the sound of a Neumann, but you won't have to pay nearly as much.
