Feature:
Shock mount looks a little cheezy. So what? With roll off and 0 and -15db settings, what else do you want from a $300 mic?
Quality:
It's been dropped once. No difference in performance.
Value:
For the money, you can't go wrong.
Desirability:
great value for you $$. It's a smart buy.
Sound:
I've worked in radio for the past 8 years and have worked with many different microphones and I would have no problem putting this up against any mic I have used. We currently use the KSM 32 at the radio station I'm at, and I prefer my 27 hands down. I'm sure if you wanted to spend a couple grand on a mic you'd notice a difference (but if that was the case you wouldn't be looking at this mic).
Ease of Use:
Plug in an go.
Support:
Haven't needed it.
Overall:
I got this as a starter mic for my home studio. I now plan to always have one.

The Shockmount was very useless it broke on me the firstt month ihad it the bands jus sanpped and the mic fell then did not work which then i had to return it for a new one and get it fixed which the customer service at zzounds did a terrific job on helping get a new one quick easy and FREE jus how i like it.. when i got it it sounded jus as it did before...
Quality:
As now ive been recording on many different types of mic i relized shure as a company does not have any really good mics they are too far behind in the microphone production... as we all know one of the more popular mics in the united states right now is the shure hand held ... but not much has changed since the original models came out ... only the look is different many of shure mics sound extremely similar in there characteristics which actually made me stop workin with shure for a while...
Value:
deffinatlly not worth the price.... no shure mic really is i found so many different mics with half the price of this mic and do exactly the same thing...YOUR BUYING THE NAME NOT THE MIC!!!! i found out the hard way from reading reviews on this "Great Mic"...
Desirability:
It looks like a decent studio mic ... it would like greta if it had the macthing shock to go with the body of the mic.... Shocj wasnt sexy at all... was not impressed
Sound:
The sound of the ksm27 is a very warm feeling ... the only thing rong with it it picks up every little noise in the background this is truley a stage mic i wouldnt recomend it for a home studio unless u have a great sound proof room... once u record with it u will understand why it should only be a on stage mic...
Ease of Use:
It was very easy to use Theres A mic ... Cable ..Phantom Power... Computer what else is there to know....
Support:
suppurt was easy and great all i did was ship the mic back to zzounds and they helped me and got my mic back in less then 2 weeks... pretty decent job i really was expecting for a while since it was round christmas time ...
Overall:
i found many other mics now i have a mic collection ranging from 100 dollar mics to 700 dollar mics and some of my 100 dollar mics have better use to me then this one very sad i know ... i use it to record myself when i take showers... like who cares if this piece of junk gets wet...
