"Warning! Government Health Warning Required"
Warning! these cans go LOUD! I might regret the purchase of these in later years. Not sure if the music actually sounds like this but it certainly sounds very upfront and "in your face". I cleaned up some old vinyl recordings on my PC, adjusting EQ, using these headphones as monitors and when playing back the resulting CDR on my hi-fi the recordings sounded bass light as though the phones had artificially enhanced the lower frequencies. I expect these would be great for DJ use as they do cut out most external noise and are very efficient (i.e LOUD). One gripe though, the cable is very short (UK Version), these are obviously meant for DJ desk use, so for home studio monitoring an extension cable might be required. Having said that anyone who DJ's or has a tendency to Dance, Rock or Pop music could do worse than check out these headphones but watch that volume knob!

"Good cans for the price"
Feature:
you put them on and plug them in.

Sound:
For closed headphones, these are the best cans around. they sound great, They are well constructed, won't fall apart, and wear well to different head (and hair) types. Even if the cord breaks at any point in the path, you can replace it. Try that with your 140's.
