Schecter Damien FR Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose Reviews

"Absolutely amazing guitar."
Feature:
It came with a REALLY nice whammy bar, a cable to hook up to the amp, and a few allen wrenches to adjust the floyd rose with.

Quality:
The making of the guitar is outstanding. It is very durable. It has the satin finish which i like more than the glossy finish by far. You don't have to worry about it coming out of tune. It has lasted me a long time and i have no worries about it breaking. I Really trust this guitar. If you are using it for gigs and have songs with variations of tuning, i reccomend having a back-up because the locking tremola takes a few minutes to undo and tune. But it is an awesome guitar. High Quality.

Value:
It is such a great guitar. I can't believe that it doesn't cost a lot more than it usually sells for.

Desirability:
It is satin black (which is sick). It has the coolest inlays, black pearl BATS. And it has a beautiful looking body. It really is needed if you want to play high-quality metal or rock.

Sound:
The sound quality is unbelievable. It is a great metal or rock guitar. The whammy bar is amazing. With distortion high notes sound really good. The EMGhz pick-ups have the nicest sound. Since it is a Schecter it can go to really low tuning and doesn't buzz or anything. There isn't a single thing that I don't like about this product. I plan to use it as my main guitar in my band Fall From Autumn ( www.freewebs.com/fallfromautumn ). I reccomend this guitar highly. And the Floyd Rose is so useful. It saves the hassle of having to tune it and is easy to adjust.

Ease of Use:
This guitar is generally easy to use. It is made to shred on so the format of the neck is really nice. If you are a serious guitar player, this is an awesome guitar use.

Support:
I haven't needed to deal with Schecter becausse the guitar has never had any problems. It really is durable and lasts a LONG time.

Overall:
I will never use another guitar for metal. If it ever breaks (I really doubt it will), i will buy another Schecter Damien Floyd Rose. I also looked at Ibanez Guitars when searching for a good guitar. Although Ibanez guitars are good, the sound quality doesn't compare to the Schecters. This is the GREATEST guitar i have ever used.

"Great guitar, but..."
Feature:
EMGs AND Floyd Rose AND Grover tuners? Epicly amazing! Only problem is that the B string and middle D string have popped out of the Floyd Rose. It might be because mine was a display model but I dont know. It doesnt work as well as I thought it would; when I pull up on the tremelo bar, the strings hit the pickups

Quality:
This guitar looks amazing, and is solid as a rock. I feel like I could use it to club someone repeatedly with, then play them a song. The flat black paint doesn't have a thick finish (if any) so it scratches more easily than other guitars

Value:
It probably could be a little cheaper, just because of the tightness of the strings

Desirability:
Oh god. This guitar is HOT. It looks like it came from the Guitar Satans personal arsenal. Half the reason I bought it was because of the looks, and the other half was the EMGs and FR. Guys, this guitar is a chick magnet!

Sound:
The EMG pickups on this thing are beast. You get mean crunchy chords and clear high leads. Clean sounds better than other electrics I've played, including my Epiphone Les Paul.

Ease of Use:
It sounds good and looks amazing, but the neck is too wide for my preference, and the fretboard has a weird feel to it that I can't describe. I can't do bends on this guitar AT ALL. I have no idea if its my particular one, or if all the Floyd Rose ones cannot do bends. The strings are really tight and as I mentioned before, the strings will pop out of the FR, either when I bend or pull up on the FR.

Support:
Didnt/ dont need it yet

Overall:
I'm probably going to trade it in for a different guitar, possibly another Schecter. I own an Ibanez RG and I can tear up the frets on that, but I can't on this. I wish I'd known how wide the neck was, and how much more difficult the Floyd Rose was than a regular tailpeice.
