"Compact value mixer for computer recording"

Feature:
preamps might be needed as well.

Quality:
Value for the price paid.

Value:
Good value for the solid built.

Desirability:
a must have mixer for harddisk recording

Sound:
It is basically a must have setting and mixing channels for computer based recording where other cheaper mixers cannot route in overdubbing because they dont seperate channels output and it combined them. Hence, it is a good start for small computer based recording.Sound is clean and less noisy.

Support:
Not sure how.

Overall:
Good mixer for a small scale.

"Disappointed."

Feature:
The whole reason I bought this unit was the "Hard disk" record mode, which I thought should give me the best signal output to my computer. Wrong again! The hard disk mode goes out through RCA channels, which not only is poorer quality than 1/4" or xlr, but my sound card does not even have RCA inputs, so I can't even use this feature!

Quality:
Overall construction is solid.

Value:
The price was as high or higher than other multi channel mixers, such as Beringher, which also give effects and occasionally more EQ bands.

Desirability:
Doesn't do the job I wanted it to. I have to buy more equipment to interface with the computer, OR SEND IT BACK! Guess which I'll be doing?

Sound:
There's a lot more hiss than I expected in the outputs. While there are supposed to be powered preamps, they are only on the xlr channels, which means I STILL HAD TO USE A DIRECT BOX TO PATCH MY GUITAR INTO THE MIXER THROUGH THE 1/4 INPUTS BEFORE I COULD GET ENOUGH SIGNAL TO SEND TO MY COMPUTER!

Support:
Didn't contact them, so I give them a five by default.

Overall:
I'm already looking for other equipment.
