Unlike most portable PA systems, the Expedition Express is designed to sound great. Not just for public speaking either-but for live and recorded music, too.
The system is comprised of a pair of rugged, acoustically balanced two-way loudspeakers, a 4-channel mixer with DSP, a powerful 250 Watt amplifier and all the accessories you need. What's more, the system interlocks, and packs up into a single rolling unit so it's easy to transport.
We've thought of everything: Expedition Express includes a professional dynamic microphone, mic clip, mic cable, extension speaker cable and protective ballistic nylon cases.
Compact and Powerful
The Expedition Express combines a powered speaker with built-in amplification and controls, and a light-weight second speaker or 'slave'. When set up for performance, the two cabinets are connected by a single cable. When they are packed of for the road, the lightweight passive speaker cabinet locks into the top of the amplified speaker cabinet with a unique auto-locate mechanism. Each loudspeaker is housed in a lightweight, yet heavy-duty, molded resin cabinet with extensive internal bracing to give it rigidity, low resonance and the maximum possible volume.

The Expedition Express's integrated amplifier is perfectly matched to the drivers for surprisingly high efficiency. The sound is clear and hard-hitting. Built-in digital signal processing (DSP) adds dramatic pro-quality effects like reverb and echo at the flip of a switch. Selecting from six preset effects makes getting great sound easy and fast.
Like Samson's Expedition Pro enclosures, the Express features custom designed high and low frequency drivers. The High Frequency section employs an elliptical wave-guide horn that offers extra wide dispersion for maximum coverage.

I love this this thing I traded a peavy for it the best deal ever It is small and powerful and I have the old one before the mixer was included, so I am buying a xp next and have a mixed and two othe speakers

If you are a solo act or small group playing out it is perfect

Yes, the Samson mic is nice, but could use a on off switch. Cables for the speakers is satisfactory. Mic clip works fine.

Samson did a good job. Just work on the wheels for better rolling. Should last a long time with proper care.

Yes! Good price. Not nearly as expensive as other powered speakers/PA systems. However, unit is worth every dollar if you need a system to augment vocals, monitor, small dj gigs or performing in small venues like a corporate event, coffee shop.

Nothing sexual about it Bro! Nice to look at, but what do you want.. a blow up doll or a PA?

The sound of the Samson Expedition 250 watt Pa System is clean. The DSP feature is nice, especially for singers. The unit is perfect for a standard Vocal PA or small to medium Dj/combo/public speaking gig. The unit needs to be used with a Bass Sub if you want to kick it harder in clubs. However, if you use it for promotional events with DJ music...you will be fine. The unit works well with larger cabs and smaller speakers. For exampe, the peavy PR 10's or any 15 Cab with oomph will augment the overall sound. Jacks: 1/4 and XLR,and Rca connections are convenient. Offers a wireless plugin for wireless mics. How to improve system: First, enlarge the wheels for better rolling. Add a Bass Sub to improve low end. Offer a 15 speaker! Integrate a CD player into unit. Finally, install a protective cover for the pan pots on the mixer to prevent damage.
Ease of Use:
Easy to use....enough said. Unit sounds good as a monitor for a keyboard player or musician/singer.

I will use it until it stops working. Hopefully, it should give me many years of great service. If the unit was lost or stolen, I would be sad, but let's not go there. Would I buy another? If the unit had a more powerful Sub Woofer to work with the EXP's.
