Concept 1: If you want the best sounding speaker system you have to start with the best sounding components. That's why the dB500P is loaded with a custom designed 15 in. Celestion woofer and matched with a super smooth 1 in. titanium HF driver for the best sound possible. Concept 2: You can never have enough power handling. Samson designed the dB500P for generous 500-watt power handling capacity. Concept 3: A speaker cabinet needs to be just about indestructible. The dB500a is the deal featuring a roadie-proof reinforced molded cabinet with steel grills, padded handles, flypoints, lockable pole mount, and angled sides for use as a floor monitor. Concept 4: You can never sound too good. The dB500P just might. Other features include 1/4 in. input and 8-ohm impedance.

The passive dB500 has many of the same features as Samson's popular dB500a, including the same rugged enclosure, and advanced drivers. A natural sounding fixed crossover is built-in, and the back panel features 1/4 in. and XLR connectors.

The dB500 speaker cabinet features an array of mounting options. Designed with floor monitoring in mind, they are also easily stacked or permanently installed. A 1 3/8 in. pole receptacle is built in, and 10 reinforced fly points are available. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Samson products.

"Spend a little more and buy a product that is better desighned."

Sound: Sounds ok. Feature: None Quality: Very poor desighn. Does not even have power protection. Go above reated power and you lost a speaker. Value: You get what you pay for. Manufacturer Support: Terrible customer service. Wont even pick up the phone, you must leave a voice mail and they will call you back when the speaker is obsolete. The Wow Factor: Very desceiving. Looks better than it realy is. Overall: First thing I will do is gut the speaker and replace the drivers with supported drivers and add some type of speaker protection. Only good thing about this speaker is the cabinet.
