The MX28 is a 3-channel true stereo line mixer. Each channel has an individual 1/4 in. input for the right and left sides, and the outputs are individual right and left 1/4 in. jacks. Each channel has a level and pan (balance) control. The Master Level controls the output volume and the Headphone Level controls the level to the 2 headphone outputs.

I’ll admit that I was pretty skeptical about this item, but I am very surprised with its performance. I thought I needed a small mixer to mix the backing tracks on my iPad with my Strymon amp/IR modeler before it goes to my $540 headphone amp. But as it turns out, all I really need is just the Rolls M28, my modeler, and my iPad!! The headphone amp in the M28 is as good as, or even better, than my really expensive one. In fact, I’m selling the expensive one! The Rolls is all I need. Pretty cool.
