zZounds is an

The biggest single improvement you can do to any sound system, regardless of price! The kosmos® is a low frequency energy and stereo image enhancement system. It can provide planet-rattling bass while simultaneously causing the vocals to stand out in a mix and spread the stereo image. In operation, its sub-harmonic (Quake) processor watches the source material, analyzes the bass, then generates additional low frequencies an octave below it. It tracks the original bass without the mud of other bass processors, and is tuned to your speaker size for best performance. The Quakes activity is seismically monitored and indicated by an LED. Its output level is fully adjustable. In addition to the Quake process, there is an additional bass boost circuit - Thud® -- tuned an octave above the sub-harmonic range, which can be used to fill in and fatten out the low end. The left-right stereo image can also be intensified with the Xpanse® control, which gives improved separation and clarity (atmosphere). All inputs and outputs are balanced. To guarantee proper levels, an input gain control is provided. A 0 dBu green signal LED and a +10 dBu red signal LED assist in input level setting. The subwoofer output has its own crossover and level control which supplies an equalized bass signal for systems with subs. The effects (including the added Quake and Thud® signals sent to the subwoofer) can be bypassed for the occasional reality check. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Peavey products.

Sound: "WOW" is the word that most describes the way i feel about the peavey kosmos!!! My sound has improved by leaps and bounds since i started using the kosmos!!! My lower end bass has improved,my highs are clearer and more defined and my mids are crystal clear!!! The best new peavey product in years!!! Feature: With the kosmos you can adjust how much bass,treble and mids you want!!! Its like your customizing your sound!!! Ease of Use: Turn a couple of knobs and you are defining your sound!! I enjoy trying different sounds with the kosmos!!! iT WILL CLEAN UP YOUR SOUND!!!!!! Quality: Well built, only 1 rack space tremdous product!!! My only problem is that it overheats after long periods of playing but, i put a small fan behind my rack to cool it off, and it seems to be working!!! No problems after using the fan!! Peavey might think of installing fans in its later versions of the kosmos!! Value: The kosmos is kind of pricey but, for what it adds to your sound its worth it!!! Manufacturer Support: Haven't needed any support!! The Wow Factor: Any musician who wants clearer,brighter,more powerful sound, will want a kosmos!!!! Overall: Other than the overheating issue i am totally satisfied with the kosmos!!! incredible product!!!!

It think it will last long as long as you take very good care of it. Value: Yes,it is worth the price. But I think, the price should be reduced so that more people can afford to buy one. Manufacturer Support: I have delt with this company many times and they are very easy to deal with. The Wow Factor: It think it is wonderful. Overall: As long that it keeps performing its functions as it was bought originally.
