Product Description

The Pearl PTC1250 Travel Conga delivers real conga sound from a compact drum that can be carried literally in a backpack. The wood shell and stave construction is identical to Pearl's full-size congas and the Remo FiberSkyn 3 synthetic head yields outstanding tone while resisting fluctuations from changes in temperature or humidity.

Five precision Allen bolts provide accurate and easy tuning via the included foam-handle Allen wrench.

The Travel Conga can be played on your lap or mounted on a snare stand and integrated into your drumset or percussion set-up. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Pearl products.

Sound: Sound is excellent in the "live" situations I've used it in. I have not used it in the studio yet, but wouldn't hesitate to do so. Feature: The stand is very functional and well built. The case is nice to transport and protect and the pocket is nice to hold the tuning key. The tuning key is large, but very well designed for comfort and functionality. Ease of Use: Very easy to use, works like a real conga. It would work well in any situation and with any percussion or drum set set-up. Quality: So far, seems to be made very well. Time will tell in regards to durability, but I am not worried about anything. Value: The value is especially attractive with this product. The real version of this instrument is considerably more costly, and although this instrument is an alternative, it functions and best of all sounds like the real thing. Manufacturer Support: Yes, and they are one of the largest manufacturers of percussion instruments. Service is excellent in all respects. The Wow Factor: I think it is a cool product. It definitely gets attention because how it looks ( non conventional) and how good it sounds. I use it on gigs and practice. Overall: I am satisfied with this product. I actually recently got it, because I initially thought it was a novelty, when it came out some years ago. I got to try a friends and was impressed with it. The portability and accessibility prompted me to get one.
