With a perfect combination of tonewoods -- a maple top, mahogany back and neck, plus a luxurious rosewood fretboard, and that classic, stunning finish PRS is known for -- you get a great sounding, lightweight guitar that can handle the subtlest nuances or the most heavy guitar playing you can produce. A super-tight set-neck joint adds sustain and quality feel, while the 10" radius rosewood fretboard gives every player speedy access to the 24 frets. A 5-way rotary pickup selector gives you a multitude of sounds and tones -- you will never get tired of playing this phenomenal guitar!

At the heart of the PRS Custom-24's incredible tone is a pair of 57/08 HFS treble and Vintage bass pickups. These humbucking pickups were first offered in the 1990's, and helped to define the sound of the time by providing a balance of aggressive, musical, clear highs and strong midrange and bass. Their incredible tone will continue to be the standard by which all modern pickups are judged against.

V12 Finish

Any guitar's finish should enhance the look, sound, and feel of a guitar by accentuating the wood's inherent beauty and feel without hindering its natural resonance. And PRS Guitars' new "V12" finish does just that. Introduced at Experience PRS 2010, "V12" is a very thin, hard, and clear finish that will not crack or react with thinners. After roughly 12 years in development, it is halfway between acrylic and nitro but with a classic feel all its own. Pattern Thin Neck Shape

Neck shapes have always been a high priority for PRS and a hallmark of their high-quality standards. A guitar should feel comfortable, like "home," as soon as you pick it up, and the neck is paramount to that connection. The "Pattern Thin" neck is an updated version of PRS's traditional Wide Thin neck. This new neck shape reflects modern tooling and programming that allows us to even more preciously shape and consistently reproduce our necks.
