The M-Audio O2 follows in the footsteps of the mobile USB MIDI controller that started it all -- the Oxygen8. Small enough to fit in a bag along with your laptop, the slim-line M-Audio O2 is perfect for throwing down bass lines, programming drum patterns, triggering effects and tweaking virtual studio parameters -- anywhere, anytime. You get 25 full-size, half-action, velocity-sensitive keys, along with eight fully assignable knobs, 8 fully assignable buttons and other real-time control features for performance and programming. One simple USB connection serves as both a MIDI interface and bus power source. Class compliance with Windows XP and Mac OS X means that you can get down to business without even installing any drivers.

you must understand that this product does everything advertised. yes, the keys arent weighted or full stroke, but that's why its very portable (this is the way it was made; meant for). but its also very fun to play with and you get used to the key strokes and such. please review a product understanding the end market for such an item. for instance, dont bash a model because it is lacking in features that a more expensive item possesses, etc...

I wish the modulation and the pitch bend were actually a wheel rather than the weird pressure button it is. It's hard to make exact modulation/pitch bend changes. Also, why does it not come with an AC adapter?! Other than that, every thing works really well.

Very sturdy and also pretty light. Very thin as well.
Value:
At the current super discounted price, its a very good value.
Desirability:
It looks a whole lot better than the Oxygen...as in, it doesn't look like a toy. The silver colors make it look kindof sleek.
