Product Description

The patent pending iBeam itself is the heart of the system and weighs only 1/3 of an ounce. This revolutionary bridge plate transducer easily sticks to the bridge plate on the inside of the guitar and does not affect the acoustic tone of the guitar in any way. The iBeam is microphonic enough to hear the rich (but correct) texture of finger squeak and top tapping, but is resistant to feedback and gives you excellent amplified sound without a hint of piezo quack. Included with each iBeam is a placement jig that allows you to install the pickup in minutes and get the ideal placement for the transducer inside the guitar.

Sound: Sounds like a good mic but the output is very, very low. Feature: I wish is featured enough signal to be picked up by my preamp. It's so quite that I can't even use it with my pedal tuner, it won't even register the sound. Ease of Use: Very Easy to install. Quality: Seems to be well made. Value: I guess about average. Manufacturer Support: N/A Overall: I'm looking for another option. I figured it would be fine with my Yamaha AG-Stomp Pre-amp but even with the volume all the way up it is still very quiet. I have to crank everything up to 10 to get enough volume out of this thing I get way too much white noise when I do that. Maybe it works with their preamps but I don't really want to spend another $200 to find out.
