Meet the most compact family of USB-MIDI controllers ever! Introducing the new Korg nanoSERIES USB powered slim-line controllers - so small you can put them on your workstation, in front of your laptop, on a recording console or anywhere else you need versatile control over your DAW, virtual instrument/effect or DJ software.

nanoPAD - A Small Pad Controller That's Big on Control
When Korg set out to make a drum pad controller, they did their homework - with unique features and exceptionally responsive pads, the resulting padKONTROL became and remains one of the most highly sought-after pad controllers on the market. Enter the nanoPAD, offering 12 excellent feeling and highly responsive pads in a new, smaller footprint. In addition, a new Chord Trigger function lets you enter chords onto a single pad, helping you to make the most of the work surface as you create. The pads are also able to transmit control change messages, making this a great interface for soloing or muting mixer tracks, turning objects on and off, or triggering clips during your live performances.

nanoPAD's X-Y pad offers 'Roll' and 'Flam' modes, to help you lay down ultra-realistic drum grooves. The X-Y pad will also send MIDI CC (Control Change), making it a go-to interface for any parameter within your software that requires full range MIDI control such as pitch, cutoff, volume and beyond.

With the "KORG KONTROL Editor" (downloadable free of charge from the Korg website) you can customize four scenes that address the pads and X-Y pad can be stored within nanoPAD to suit your control needs. That means you actually have access to 48 notes/chords, 60 MIDI controllers, or any combination of the two types of data at any given time. Also, select one of three velocity curves or a fixed velocity to tailor the nanoPAD to your touch.

nanoSERIES
Despite their small size, all three controllers go HUGE when it comes to functionality, yet their intuitive layouts provide extremely easy operation for any user. The nanoKEY features a great-feeling 25-key velocity-sensitive keyboard that's ideal for song production. The keys can also be set to send MIDI control data, further expanding its power. The nanoPAD features 12 highly responsive trigger pads, also capable of sending both notes and MIDI control data, plus an X-Y pad with roll and flam functions giving you a unique interface for realistic drum programming. The nanoKONTROL offers nine faders, nine knobs and 18 switches plus a full transport section for expansive control; plus it features a note input mode to help you lay down your next big groove!

What's a Controller Without Software?
Even if the Korg nanoSERIES controllers are your first foray into MIDI control, you can rest assured that you'll be able to get connected to software quickly. As an added value, the nanoKEY includes a download code for the full version of Korg's M1Le, which faithfully recreates the legendary Korg M1 workstation. Plus, an upgrade path will let you graduate to the Legacy DIGITAL EDITION software suite, which has an even more expansive version of the M1, the renowned WaveStation and 19 great MDEX effects. The nanoPAD comes complete with a download code for Toontrack's EZDrummer Lite, offering super-realistic, highly responsive drums in a convenient plug in, plus you can upgrade to the full version of EZDrummer for a special price. The nanoKONTROL includes a discount coupon for Ableton Live LE software. What's more; a free downloadable Editor/Librarian will help you create setups to suit your specific control needs in all three models.

Korg nanoPAD USB MIDI Pad Controller Reviews

9 People rated this product :
           9 out of 10
           10 out of 10
"Great product, really brings the sounds you want to life."
Feature:
I wish the roll could be a little bit better but it gets the job done. Like if u roll your hi hats , it can be a lil off beat. It really isnt a big problem though because u can just hit the pads fast enough to get the sounds u want. i Really like the flam feature. It makes it easy to stack kicks and snares. The x-y axis pad thingy is very useful.

Quality:
I had to give it an 8 because the main pads that i beat up feels a little weird. I had this for a few days, i dont maybe i'm abusing my pads or this they are not as strong as they should be. And if you like to beat up pads like me then i suggest that u get something to keep your nano pad stable because the rubber dots on the bottom doesn't keep it in place that well. It wont mess up ypur flow though, just giving a heads to. Everything else is built pretty well.

Value:
I would have to say it's worth buying. 60 bucks for a control like this is wheres its at. Its worth way more then what they are selling it for.

Desirability:
I don't really care about the looks but this little hardware doesn't hurt the eye. It looks like it can do work. The design reminds me of apple products. It matches my mac book. But the looks doesn't matter.

Sound:
it doesnt make sound, it has velocity pads tho.

Ease of Use:
You just plug it in and bam!. that easy.

Support:
N/A

Overall:
Overall this is a great product. It gets the job done for drumming to sampling. It really helps me find the sound i want from chopped up samples. If you are into sampling, making drum sounds and on a tight budget; then you should pick this up.

"get it"
Feature:
Now before all yall winey spoiled lazy musicians say what it cant do let me remind you that for under a 100 bucks you cant find a better controller. Assign chords to pads. 4 scenes. x-y axis is GREAT. Pads are very responsive. I think just as good as the mpc. its small so does not take up ya whole desk. Wish it came wit some more templetes especially for reason. The software lets you program paramaters in plain english. And you can do it while you using it.

Quality:
plasic but i already dropped mine (DARN KIDS!) still works like a charm.

Value:
what piece of new equipment can you get that lets you make music so creatively as this for under $75. This is the first controller i know that you can assign chords to the pads or keys PERIOD. AKAI mpk 49 does not do that nor does thier mpd32. Now im not saying this is better but im not paying $250 for a drum controller when i could get 2 of these for that price. Its just a responsive and the roll function is similar to the note repeat button if you work it right with the x-y pad.

Sound:
well it does not make sounds on its own so i cant fault it

Ease of Use:
NOt so much. Dont get me wrong i didnt need the manual too much however.......if your new to such editing it aint easy. like i said they should have made a couple more templetes and scene sets to get folk going in a better direction depending on the app you use.

Support:
not sure yet but the manual is clear as far as i can tell

Overall:
GET IT. IMO its the best drum pad controller you can get.
