Ovation applied 30-odd years of guitarmaking innovation to design an affordable guitar that doesn't sound like an affordable guitar. The Summit Series is proof of that. These guitars boast a bigger sound than guitars costing twice as much. In a large part that's due to the Lyrachord body - the same type of body as the U.S.A.-made body found on its upscale Ovation brothers. Its roundback shape capitalizes on the structural power of the arch freeing the insides of sound-deadening bracing that traditional-style guitars require. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Applause by Ovation products.

Sound: Sounds great! Good lows and clear highs Feature: Built-in quartz pickup, connects to amp directly. No pre-amp inside the guitar means it does not require a battery. But the drawback is you need to use a high-impedence amp or DI box, otherwise it will sound too sharp and has to be EQ'ed. Most guitar amps proably won't need a lot of EQ, but an amp with FET input would be more desirable. Quality: feels very durable Value: Very good value Manufacturer Support: Does have a web site The Wow Factor: Looks good as well Overall: Would replace this one with same

Sound: it sounds like an ovation... Feature: no accessories were included... Quality: i bought mine blemished for a nice discounted price...i can tell it has been played but only if i looked hard. Value: excellent value... Manufacturer Support: n/a The Wow Factor: nice glossy black finish.... Overall: i chose this item originally for the price and for the ovation quality...i thought it was worth the risk buying online (cant see/feel before u buy) and i am way pleased...
