The HUSH system, as well as all other noise reduction systems suffers from one major problem inherent in their design: The system cannot be immediately responsive to very short-term staccato notes. The typical downward expander noise reduction system suffers from a dead zone in the release response characteristic which causes a compromise in tracking both fast decaying notes and long sustained notes.

Next Generation Tracking

The Decimator design offers a novel approach to tracking the envelope of the input signal called Time Vector Processing. Due to this novel approach in controlling the expander, the Decimator system will instantly respond to short staccato notes and, at the same time, will provide a very slow ripple free control of long sustained notes. This means that the Decimator noise reduction system is the most transparent and highest performance noise reduction system available.

The Decimator Pedal is extremely easy to use; simply inset the Decimator at the end of your chain of existing pedals or, insert the Decimator Pedal in the effects loop of your amplifier to clean up the noise present at the amplifier input as well as the noise in the amplifiers pre-amp section. Sound: It sounds like silence. When it's on, it sounds like your amp is off, no hum, no buzz, no feedback. All of your intended notes come through loud and clear, with no tone interference, and no effect on your sustain. I advise turning it off if you switch to a clean channel, or turn down your guitar's volume as it can cut some quieter notes off. Feature: The only control is the threshold sensitivity, which is all it needs. Makes for a very user-friendly interface. Value: More expensive than other units, but if you're serious about killing noise, this is the best so be ready to fork over those extra clams. The Wow Factor: The awesome mirrored-metal casing is awesome and definitely desirable, even sexy. Of course it's performance alone should put it on the top of any gainhead's wish list.

Feature: One knob. One simple feature. Ease of Use: Very easy to use! It WILL eliminate all feed back and hiss from your high gain amp. Guaranteed! Just turn the knob! Quality: This pedal was very well made. Solid casing and built like a Sherman tank! Value: The pedal is worth every penny and more! Manufacturer Support: None needed. Simple to use. Overall: This pedal eliminates all noise, hiss, and feedback. If you play guitar very well, it will expose your talents. If you you don't play to well, it will expose this as well because you won't have the feedback from your amp to disguise your mistakes.(So,practice!) What makes this noise reduction pedal the best on the market is that you will not loose any of your sustain or harmonics from your guitar. And, when you stop playing, dead silence. Wow! I was blown away! Next to my Hard Wire Delay /Looper pedal, this is my favorite non effects pedal. Don't believe the reviews. This noise gate will NOT color your tone or take any thing away from the sound of your amp. If you want some feed back from your amp, just dial back a little on your control knob and you'll still sound great! This pedal is very versatile and you can do some creative stuff with it.
