With light and dark grain patterns, the zebrawood back and sides on the Ibanez AEW23ZW are visually distinct and give the guitar a sound similar to rosewood.

The Ibanez AEW23ZWNT is an EW body acoustic/electric with a Spruce top and Zebrawood back and sides. Indigenous to Western Africa, Zebrawood is similar to Indian Rosewood with well-defined bass and treble, and projects with excellent volume. Its alternating light and dark lines create a unique appearance that can be simply stunning.

Electronics include a Fishman Sonicore pickup and an AEQ-SP2 preamp for complete tone control, 1/4" & XLR Outputs, plus an onboard tuner for quick, discreet tuning. Other features include Chrome Die-Cast tuners with black knobs, a Rosewood fretboard and bridge and Ibanez Advantage Bridge Pins for improved tuning stability. This beautiful instrument is finished off with Multi Rosewood body/neck/headstock binding, a gorgeous Zebrawood/Abalone rosette and a high gloss natural finish.

Received this today, box was in perfect shape and so was the guitar. Beautiful instrument, absolutely gorgeous. Action was exactly to my liking, smooth frets, neck is straight and the fretboard feels so, so good to the touch. Surprisingly nice bottom end, good sustain, really rings out strumming open chords, and it's fabulous fingerprinted, as well. Onboard tuner is excellent, haven't plugged in yet, but I expect to be just as satisfied with it's performance then, too. As usual zZounds is a joy to do business with, they really help a lot of poor boys like myself be able to play quality guitars that we might not otherwise be able to.

40 years trying to play well enough to please myself, not there yet.
