This cab's four aluminum/paper-hybrid cones give your bass tone that signature Hartke crispness in the highs and mids, along with fuzzy warmth in the lows.

The Hartke HX410 HyDrive is a rugged 1,000 watt 4 x 10 bass cabinet with plenty of power, and more tonal range than most other bass cabs.

Hybrid Design Speakers

The distinguishing feature of the HX410 are its hybrid aluminum/paper cones that were specially engineered by Hartke to deliver a bass tone with a more punchy and crisp articulation. The center of each the four 250 watt 10-inch HyDrive neodymium hybrid cone drivers is made of aluminum, to provide the best possible response for mid- and high-end tones. Meanwhile, the outer rim of the cones is made of paper, which carries the low-end frequencies and leads to an overall warmth of tone. The tonal properties of the HX410 are further reinforced by the inclusion of a High Frequency Attenuation switch that operates at the functional dynamic range or drops another -6 dB when you need it to.

Incredible Speaker Performance

The cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets allows the HyDrive speakers to run significantly cooler than other speakers, and to deliver more reliable power handling at peak performance. The tone on these speakers remains completely pure and undistorted, even at the loudest possible output.

Notably Lightweight

The HyDrive speakers also deliver a surprising power-to-weight ratio with their proprietary design. A HyDrive 10-inch speaker weighs 40% less than the average 10-inch LF transducer, which adds up to a lot less to lug around. Built-in casters and rugged metal handles make transport easy, read more and the cabinet weighs less and is smaller than many comparable 4 x 10 designs. It weighs in at about 70 pounds, which makes it easily one of the lightest 4 x 10 cabinets on the market. With built-in casters and rugged metal handles, this bass cab is exceptional transportable.

Ready For Most Amps

The cabinet on the Hartke HX410 HyDrive is sealed, dual-chamber cabinet design that delivers maximum forward punch. The back of the cabinet features Speakon and 1/4-inch inputs. Generally speaking, the Hartke HX410 HyDrive is built to work with as many possible different amplifier heads as possible, to accommodate the complex tastes of contemporary players. It will integrate well up to its 1,000 watts of continuous power, and will accept any signal with a properly rated 8-ohm nominal impedance.

Hartke HX410 HyDrive Bass Cabinet

Professional performance and ample power were two critical considerations that heavily factored into the design of the HX410. The need for contemporary bassists to reach high volume levels with seamless performance is a common demand these days, but being able to do so with a durable, portable cabinet that only weighs 68 pounds is practically unheard of. This is where the HX410 bass cabinet comes in.

With power to spare, the HX410 features four 250 watt 10-inch HyDrive neodymium hybrid cone drivers for a total power handling of 1,000 watts. This HyDrive cabinet is beautifully appointed with a steel grill, steel corners, recessed handles and removable casters, making it both resilient and easy to transport. The HyDrive HX410 is a sealed, dual-chamber cabinet constructed from the highest quality plywood with extensive bracing and dado joints, making it rigid yet lightweight for superior projection and true sonic clarity.

The HyDrive HX410 was designed for demanding players who need critical performance at intense volume levels. Perfectly suited for all kinds of bass playing, Hartke engineers also specifically designed the HX410 with the midrange frequencies rock players rely on night after night on stages all over the world. With the power and versatility of the HyDrive speakers housed in a perfectly suited enclosure, it's clear that the HX410 performs on a level far beyond any ordinary bass cabinet.

What is HyDrive?
HyDrive transducers represent a revolutionary improvement in bass speaker technology and a major leap forward, fusing paper and aluminum in a roadworthy speaker design that is more robust and efficient than anything available.

With Hartke's HyDrive series, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut, yet still remain sweet.

One of the most important advances with the HyDrive speaker is its power-to-weight ratio. A HyDrive speaker weighs 40% less than traditional speakers and delivers 250 watts for the highest power-to-weight ratio of any bass speaker available. But the innovation runs even deeper. Because of its cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets, HyDrive speakers operate cooler and deliver more reliable power handling at peak performance.

I expect this to be the last cab I purchase for a long time, unless I get a Hartke Hydrive 15" to go under it and give it more low end.. like it needs it.
Sound
Just bought it a few weeks ago, traded my Genz-Benz 2x10 and Peavey 2x10. BLOWS THEM AWAY!!! Its got a fat low end, sounds great, and a crisp high end. Sounds much better than my Genz-Benz did and in my opinion Genz-Benz drowns Ampeg.
Features
Awesome looking cab, it only weighes 68 lbs. Can handle 1000 watts. Has a nice tone control on the back, and I love how its dual chambered, really beats on stage. Has speakon and 1/4" in. And is a much smaller 4x10 than it looks like, but sounds like a 6x10 or even 8. AND comes with casters, hartke's moving forward.
Ease of Use
Plug it in and start playing.
Quality
Looks great, feels sturdy, sounds increadible.
Value
A bit pricey, but when you hear it you'll know its worth it. Dont wast your money on Ampeg, hartke will easily be the new standard if enough people hear this cab.
Manufacturer Support
havent had to deal with them for this, but i owned a harke 2500 bass head,i had a power supply issue, they pretty much fixed it on the phone.
The Wow Factor
I love the hybrid cones, half paper, half aluminum. Looks great, sounds better.
