Modern Mixing consoles use "insert" jacks that allow you to break into the signal path to add an outboard signal processor (reverbs, delays, compressors, etc.) using just one cable that connects to both the input and output of that device. You can choose from Stereo 1/4 in. phone to 2 Mono 1/4 in. phone, stereo 1/4 in. phone to 2 RCA, or Stereo 1/4 in. phone to 2 XLR (one Male, one Female) to match your outboard signal processor. This cable features Stereo 1/4 in. phone to 2 Mono 1/4 in. phone.

you'd think a wire has no sex appeal...but the color coded ring and tip plugs get me hot and bothered

it's quiet...no real problems with hiss etc.

it's great if you have a use for this. My band's keyboard player has keyboards that have 1/4" stereo out and feeds into separate left/right 1/4" inputs of a Behringer mixer. TAH DAH! thanks Hosa!

The best feature of this cable is the "tip" and "ring" labels and different colored ends so you can easily figure out what goes where.
Quality:
Overall, very well made. The only possible improvement would be a little more thickness in the cable.

Seriously, if you have an effects loop plug that requires a Y-cable, this is exactly what you need. Buy this cable, you won't regret it.

I didn't want this, I needed this.

It gets the sound through with no issues. No crackle. No static.

Plug and play, baby. It's as simple as that.
