Need to split your stereo output into two mono channels? This cable plugs into a stereo 1/4" TRS jack (such as a headphone output) and splits it into individual left and right mono channels.

You can also use this Y-cable as an insert cable. Many mixing boards have insert jacks that let you break the signal path to add an outboard processor, such as a compressor. Just plug this Hosa cable in to your mixer's TRS insert jack, and plug the clearly labeled "send" and "receive" ends into your outboard gear's 1/4" TS input and output jacks. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Hosa products.

Sound: it's quiet...no real problems with hiss etc. Feature: it's a cable Ease of Use: it's a cable Quality: don't spend the extra on the planet waves cable, just be nice to this one :-) Value: cheap and good Manufacturer Support: dunno haven't had to contact hosa The Wow Factor: you'd think a wire has no sex appeal...but the color coded ring and tip plugs get me hot and bothered Overall: it's great if you have a use for this. My band's keyboard player has keyboards that have 1/4" stereo out and feeds into separate left/right 1/4" inputs of a Behringer mixer. TAH DAH! thanks Hosa!

Sound: It gets the sound through with no issues. No crackle. No static. Feature: The best feature of this cable is the "tip" and "ring" labels and different colored ends so you can easily figure out what goes where. Ease of Use: Plug and play, baby. It's as simple as that. Quality: Overall, very well made. The only possible improvement would be a little more thickness in the cable. Value: Seriously, if you have an effects loop plug that requires a Y-cable, this is exactly what you need. Buy this cable, you won't regret it. Manufacturer Support: Wouldn't know. I have yet to deal with the Hosa company. The Wow Factor: I didn't want this, I needed this. Overall: This thing is absolutely perfect for all your stereo to mono cable needs! I would buy another in a heartbeat! If you need a stereo to mono Y-cable, don't hesitate. This is the real deal.
