"Don't know about the later GWF's, but this one (1995) never let me down in any way!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I will never loose this one. I got other Gretsch guitars as well as Gibson Les Paul 1981 solid body and Fender Strat. When a Gretsch gives that specific Gretsch sound no other guitar will replace that. There's no liking the least, oh yeah one thing, i'm allways scared it get's stolen when beeing on the road.

Sound
I have a 1994 GWF model 7593. the idea was to get the sound Brian Setzer used these days 'cos i saw him play a White Falcon. A White Falcon comes near that sound i hear today but does not get the sound Setzer mostly heard, cos he plays different models mostly. Every Gretsch model has it's specific sound. Let's say though my experience with this Gretsch is it never let me down and allways gave me the feeling i had a great, very well playing end very good sounding instrument round my waist. A dream when i bought it in 1995, a dream today!

Features
Filtertrons of course!!! A bigsby tremelo was included. Guitar stays well in tune.

Ease of Use
To get that characteristic Gretsch sound i allways use tube amps, Fender mostly, the older the better, best is a bassman i used. I was looking for that Gretsch sound, found it and of course never want to change that. Gretsch Guitars don't like transisor amps, that's what the amp combinations told me.

Quality
No problems whatever conceirning the quality. Not electric, not mechanical not anything else. The finishing read more of the body today, after 11 years of very regular use on stage, looks brand new!!!

Value
I cannot tell, i find only prices on the net for White Falcons 7593 from 2004 or later or so, i have no idea what mine is worth, but i do know it's an American made. I wish to know what it will be worth.

Manufacturer Support
I wrote a letter to the Gretsch company in 1995 after i just bought it telling them my luck. I got a personal letter back, from Dinah Gretsch, signed, with congrats and a lot of extra info etc. Never contacted the company 'cos, as i said, no problems, but they're to far away for that anyway. (I'm Dutch).

The Wow Factor
She's very popular when she's on stage. It gets a lot of attention, but hey, somehow i got the idea that's where this model was made for too.
