Guild GAD50E Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar (with Case)

Solid spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, Fishman Acoustic Matrix electronics

The Guild GAD-50E is the acoustic-electric version of the popular GAD-50. The GAD-50E was designed utilizing a body shape that is the most popular acoustic body shape in the world and has been used for over 70 years.

Guild uses solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, and the one piece mahogany neck is joined with the traditional dovetail neck joint. For other appointments on the GAD-50E Guild uses Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. They continued the use of high quality tone woods by featuring ebony for the pearl dot inlayed bridge and strap pins, then added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, Guild installed a bone nut and bone compensated saddle.

To take advantage of the tonality of this instrument, Guild added Fishman Acoustic Matrix Electronics for shaping its sound with clarity. For the finishing touches they inlayed classic pearl fingerboard inlays and then pack the instrument in a wooden arched case. A guitar worthy of representing over 50 years of fine guitar building by Guild Guitars.

I am going to be satisfied for a long time, as long as I live! My son will be the next one to own it.
Sound
A worm sound, and clean sound to my ears. I put light set of strings for easy action.
Features
One of the features I like. Is the look and feel of great action of the neck. It is so easy to play up down, and finger the frets.
Ease of Use
It is made to play, and great playing action for a beginner. I mean you don't need to buy a beginner guitar. Go out and buy a Guild guitar and start learning on a guitar for life.
Quality
The craftsmanship and the finish of the Guild guitar is one word WOW!!!! It will last a life time with the love you give it, and it will love you back with the sound that Alfred Dronge put in it.
Value
The price is one of the reason I bought it.
Manufacturer Support
The guitar is greatly made. When the guitar is made right the first time there is no need to get any thing done.
The Wow Factor
I don't think I would rate it as sex appeal. I would rate it as an instrument that gives me love to play and hear the sound it gives me. It's a joy to my heart and I don't want to put it down.
