You'll love all of the wonderful attributes Gibson has brought to the table for 2015 -- a year commemorating Les Paul's 100th birthday.

Improved Internal Design for Uninterrupted Signal Integrity

Like all Gibson's 2015 Les Paul models, this LP Studio features a more robust inner design to make sure that your notes make it to your amplifier in robust fashion. Tougher cables will ensure that your Les Paul Studio's circuitry will stand up to the test of time better, and an improved contact output jack will keep you rocking in assured confidence show after show. You'll be able to keep your attention focused on your performance instead of your gear.

Maple and Mahogany Body

Nothing beats that warm and full-bodied tone that only Les Paul solidbody guitars are capable of, and your Les Paul Studio follows suit with its maple-topped mahogany body. Maple is a resilient read more wood that holds up well to scratches and dings, and it brings a welcoming brightness to your tone. Mahogany keeps your lows and mids firm and present for a resonance dark in color. The Les Paul body shape of this guitar rests comfortably against your front, with its single cutaway to get you to those higher frets with ease.

Master luthier Jim DeCola speaks about Gibson's history and their 2015 models:

Improved Mahogany Neck and Rosewood Fretboard

Your Les Paul Studio features an improved mahogany neck cut into an invitingly comfortable slim taper profile. The slightly wider rosewood fingerboard on this appendage has been sanded, buffed, and oiled for a smoother feel. A wider fretboard means you'll have more room for bends and vibratos. This baby's action is super tight, but if you want to make further tweaks, your adjustable zero fret nut gives you more control over how close your strings can get to each of this neck's 22 frets.

Speedy and Reliable G FORCE Automated Tuning System

Gibson has taken the technology from their onboard Min-ETune tuning system and stepped things up a notch or two. The G FORCE automated tuning system allows you to tune your guitar in one simple strum. Alternate tunings are also at your fingertips, and you can tune your axe to an external source as well if that source is slightly sharp or flat.

'57 Classic Neck and '57 Classic Plus Bridge Humbuckers

You'll love the old school Alnico II PAF tone these babies dish out. Your '57 Classic neck humbucker gives you a warm and well-articulated output, and your '57 Classic Plus bridge humbucker projects a slightly hotter sound with a more aggressive attack. These pickups feature wax-potted coils and orange drop capacitors for a pure and unadulterated signal. Plus, your pair of '57 Classic humbuckers are coil-tappable, a feature that gives your Les Paul Studio that biting single-coil sound. With this guitar, you'll be prepared for every gig or session!

I love the way this guitar sounds. I had an Epiphone Les Paul studio, and bought this Gibson Les Paul studio in MM and I can't believe how much better sounding this thing is! My wife said it sounds more "professional" also... The G-Force tuner doesn't alway get it in tune in one strum, sometimes takes two stuns, but it does get the thing in the right pitch which is something I had problems with on other guitars without the auto tuner. It is super easy to use which is nice because I spent a lot of time tuning my old guitar and this is a very fast tuner Read that someone likes the smell of the finish, I personally can't stand the smell but it is starting to go away a little bit after two weeks. zZounds play as you pay made this "real guitar" a reality for me. Thank you zZounds! I love this guitar. Almost forgot, I do not notice the goofy headstock logo when playing, would like to change the pickup rings to black instead of that "creamy orange" color.. Man this thing sounds great though..
