"This is the ultimate guitar, in my opinion."

Feature:
All you ever need. Pick-up switching, and a volume and tone control for each pick-up.

Quality:
Impeccable build quality and materials, and it shows.

Value:
Not as good a value as the 57 RI, but it has that figured wood top that drives you crazy.

Desirability:
The Sex appeal doesn't get any higher.

Sound:
The sweetest tone imaginable. Good for all genres of music.

Ease of Use:
The neck is a little larger than most guitars (other than the other Gibson RI's), that's where the tone and sustain come from.

Support:
Never had to use it.

Overall:
I will probably own my 59 RI's until I can no longer pick them up, and then they will be inherited by my guitar playing sons.

Value:
i wish it were cheaper but I guess it is worth the money.

Desirability:
well of cours it want it!

Sound:
ok i'll make short sweet and to the point, simpaly the best sounding and looking guitar ever nothing more nothing less.

Ease of Use:
the '59 neck and the action on this guitar........................... SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!

Support:

About This Product!
Description
Multimedia
The only major change made to the Les Paul Standard in 1959 was the addition of wider, fatter "jumbo" frets, which facilitated wider bends. The real force of this change was not felt until the late 1960s, when rock and blues players like Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, and Peter Green began to discover and capitilize on the fat, warm voice of the '59 Standard. This moment in history marked the beginning of the idealization of the '59 Les Paul as the Holy Grail of guitars in the minds of professionals, collectors, and weekend warriors. Features include a figured Maple top, 1959 Rounded neck, Burstbucker humbuckers, tulip tuners and a Custom Shop case.

Historic Collection - Solidbody Series
Whether you're looking for an exact replica of the Les Paul that your guitar hero made famous or you're simply looking for an SG that's "built like they used to be," the entire line of Historic Les Paul Reissues is built exactly like they were in the '50s and '60s.
