I wouldn't pay over $700 for it. The pickups are not that great for metal, but great for hard or classic rock. I wish it had 24 frets too. The neck is very comfortable and easy to get aound on. The shape is also cool. Playing while sitting is very easy to get used to.
Sound
The pickups are not very crunchy and they seem weak. Even through a Peavy Valve King, the output of the pickups isn't very high. The sound is good for hard rock or classic rock, but not anything more sgressive.
Features
For as much as you're paying, I don't understand why Gibson doesn't at least give yo 24 frets instaed of 22. Otherwise, typical features of a Gibson. ie a wrap around bridge, 2 ok humbuckers. Stays in tune very well though.
Ease of Use
Very comfortable neck. It's rather fast yet still has a solid feel to it. The pickup toggle is a no briner to use(like on every guitar)
Quality
One of the redeeming features of most Gibsons. It's a sturdy guitar. The only problem I found was that the strap button was loose, but that's easy to take care of.
Value
It's a nice guitar and all, but it's not worth over $700.
Manufacturer Support
Didn't need it.
The Wow Factor
It looks cool (like most Vs), but that's about it. Otherwise, it's nothing special.
