A thinner version of the Fender Sonoran SCE, this dreadnought style acoustic-electric looks great and plays like a dream.

The California series welcomes a distinctive member in the sleek form of the Fender Sonoran SCE Thinline, which features a tight dreadnought body a mere 3 inches deep for comfortably easy playing and a Fishman Isys pickup system with onboard tuner that lets you be heard loud and clear.

Other premium features include a solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing for richly resonant tone, mahogany back and sides, three-ply gold pickguard, elegant cosmetic touches including a checkerboard rosette and body and neck binding, C-shaped bolt-on maple Stratocaster neck with dual-action truss rod for rock-solid stability, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with bone nut, Fender Viking rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, forward strap button with internal block reinforcement, vintage-style tuners, chrome hardware and gloss neck and body finish.

I did some shopping around for thinlines before deciding on the Sonoran, but was sold by its great looks and reasonable price. I wasn't let down at all when it finally arrived in the mail, the pictures here didn't do it justice. It plays great, and while I can tell a difference in the depth of the sound between the Sonoran and my other full sized I inanez ew it still plays beautifully and I have a hard time putting it down k go to work in the morning. The guitar arrived in perfect condition, save for a few blemishes that seemed more of an assembly issues than shipping.
