Great experience buying from zZounds - the play as you pay is great. Guitar showed up when expected and was packaged very well. Finish was excellent. Looks great. Setup was excellent right out of the box - have not stopped playing it since it showed up at the house!
Sound
The sound is very good. I will be changing the pickups - but I got a good deal on some 60th anniversary 54's The ones it came with are fine in my opinion
Features
All the standard Strat features work fine - nothing special here.
Ease of Use
Guitar was very playable out of the box. Setup was fine for me. Intonation was good, action was good. Pickup height is good as well - sounds really sweet.
Quality
Looks like it is made very well - second MIM standard strat I have purchased and the quality is very good. Went through and checked/tightened everything up - it was actually fine.
Value
I think the price for this is very good - 500 and then a set of pickups and you have a really nice guitar. Don't even really need to change the pickups. Not a pro here - but I have been playing for years - for a fun guitar you could gig with - I think it's worth it
Manufacturer Support
Have not had to use it
The Wow Factor
I had wanted the lake placid blue with maple for a while - and I have to say when you see it in person - the pics do not do it justice. It is a beautiful color and with the maple neck/fretboard - it just looks amazing!
