DigiTech Vocalist Workstation EX Harmony Processor

No longer available at zZounds
5-part intelligent harmony plus reverb.

High quality voice processing is paramount whether you are live on stage or in your project studio. The Vocalist Workstation EX is able to rise to the challenge by giving you great vocals in both environments. The Vocalist Workstation EX contains a suite of effects designed to make your vocals outstanding as well. It has never been easier to add great sounding 2-5 part harmonies to live or pre-recorded vocals.

The high quality Reverb is easy to use and you can edit and store different reverb settings for each program. You can also fix that one out-of-tune note in an otherwise great vocal recording by using the automatic or manual "Pitch Correction" mode. Adjustable gender and humanization for harmony voices make them sound like other singers.

When you add a MIDI keyboard, it can create harmonies automatically using its chord recognition intelligence. Full MIDI Sysex implementation also allows the EX to move into the studio to run under full automation with your favorite sequencing and digital recording programs.

The Vocalist Workstation EX is the professional's choice for great sounding harmonies in a powerful yet easy to transport design.

DigiTech Vocalist Workstation EX Harmony Processor Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I bought this unit and was very excited after I initially got it. It was rather simple to use, contrary to anothers review I found the manual fine. It explained the various harmony types and how they work and which would be best to use for various set-up circumstances. The unit certainly seems flexible for live and studio use. However after just a day and a half of seriously limited use, the unit stopped functioning. The display just defaulted to something like "Unit initializing" and that was it. I unplugged it, turned it off and on a few times, even tried holding various keys while turning on in case one acted as a reset, but nothing worked. I went to the Digitech site and though I found the 'support' area for the unit, it wasn't very helpful. No real information, no real troubleshooting section. The forums don't appear to be monitored, and because I just bought it I didn't want to leave a post and maybe not hear back for a week. And I don't do the call and stay on hold thing. So after less then 3 days with the unit I'm sending it back for a refund. Seems like these either work or they don't, as a few other reviews seemed to have DOA or ones that stopped working right away. The rest seem to be happy. I suppose with any electronics it's a crap shoot. This time I'm gonna be rolling my dice on a TC Helicon harmonizer - hopefully I'll have better luck.
