"A Great light!"

Feature: This is a narrow beam RGB LED Par 56 that is great for spotlighting or uplighting. The narrow beam is especially good for uplighting a tall wall, like 25 feet tall. Makes a great "column" of light. For the money, you get pretty good brightness, but you're not going to get brilliant brightness in LED unless you're spending $500 or more per fixture. For the money, this light is a good deal. Ease of Use: I don't like DIP switches, but I just set the same DMX address for all of them and they look great switching colors and intensities in sync together. Once you get your lights set like you want them, it's not like you change DMX addresses every time you gig. As for lights doing strange things on their own, 90% of the time it's because someone is using ordinary mic cable instead of real DMX cables. There is a difference and it will show up as disrupted control signals down the line. If you buy right, you can get DMX cables the same price as premium mic cables. Quality: I find the quality to be just fine for me. The double-yoke is very handy for setting them up on the floor. I'm not crazy about the Chauvet AC plugs, but, again, it's not a deal breaker. It's going to be as good on the road as any other lighting fixture - they're not rugged and they don't take abuse well. Just who ARE these guys who are always tossing their stuff around like it's garbage and complaining that it 'doesn't hold up"? Amateurs, that's who. Value: You can pay more and not get as much. Again, the big feature is "narrow beam". Most lights like these are more like wash lights. Check out DJ Mikey Mike on YouTube and see what a pro like that thinks about the LED Rain 56. He'll set out 15 or 20 of these to uplight a gig and make a plain room look like a palace! And at this price, you can afford to buy quite a few.

"Horrible."

Feature: The chain-able power is about the only nice thing on these. Ease of Use: Dip switches suck. So it makes a bad situation (having to use dips for setting the dmx channel) even worse. Not to mention the fact they come set up to be sound activated and a few of them were just completely broke and didn't have the sounds activation feature. Quality: Half of the 16 I bought didn't work. They are like cheap nasty metal housing that really suck. They looked like a 5 year old Ethiopian slave in a sweat shop mad then with a rusty screw driver. I got mine and they were each a little different. Some had different types of dip switches and some Value: These are way to much money. There are other prodects for the same price that are HUNDREDS of times better. Manufacturer Support: These lights sucked so bad I just took the loss and returned the one i could. Chauvet was no help on this one. The Wow Factor: They were covered in a oil when I got them. Maybe from the milling processes and the nasty metal housings? Overall: CRAP! Don't buy it. The quality overall is bad. It's not like i bought just one and it was just a fluke that it sucked but I bought 16! and they all were crap. There was like 3 or 4 that would just do there own thing no matter what color the DMX was set on. They are just the worse possible light you could buy if you need washes. Go with a different brand of this one.
