Feature: No picks or instructions. What can a begginer do with an allen wrench?? "Pink but Not Everything Pretty"

Sound: Strings that come with it are poor. Can't decide whether to return the guitar or get new strings to improve the sound. Feature: The color is nice for very young children (PINK). fret inlays and guide on top of neck; hook fot strap; silver color tuning machine head; plastic bridge; poor sounding pinkish steel strings; extra pack of strings; royal blue floppy guitar bag with matching case strap and royal blue(?) guitar strap. I would have to find a "pink" strap. Ease of Use: The strings are high in the first few frets. I have thought of sanding down the nut but is it really worth the effort? The cutaway is nice; it adds to the the usable frets. Quality: Paint job is poor and rough around the sound hole. Where the neck meets the back of the guitar the lacquer finish has bubbled. When tuning the guitar the keys slipped. The bridge is plastic, that doesn't help the sound. Children won't end up bring this guitar to school to play in the band or at mass nor will you impress your musician friends with your strumming skills; the rich sound is just not there. Value: I suppose the guitar is worth $55.00 new without the pink color. It's mostly good to looks. Read "Quality." Manufacturer Support: Have yet to contact the company. Overall: The child is crazy about pink. I thought it would help her learn the guitar. I would not replace it with another poor quality guitar. I will contact the manufacturer to see if they can send me a guitar without flaws.
