Description
The CADPMP43 contains three TSM411 Neodymium dynamic mics for mic'ing snare, toms, cymbals, congas, guitar amplifiers and percussion instruments, along with a KBM412 dynamic for bass drums, large percussion instruments and bass guitar amplifiers. This is a fantastic deal on high-quality microphones for your entire drum kit - or to fill out your studio mic locker with great instrument mics. Case included.
TSM411
This is a versatile multi-purpose Neodymium dynamic percussion/instrument microphone with a cardioid pattern that reduces feedback. The TSM411 incorporates "dual point" suspension to maximize sonic performance. This suspension system ensures excellent shock isolation and ballistic stability, critical to the successful reproduction of toms, snares, cymbals, congas and guitar and keyboard amps. The TSM411 has an open, accurate sound. A soft rubber shock mount provides additional isolation.
KBM412
The KBM412 is a large diameter, cardioid Neodymium dynamic microphone, specifically designed for bass drum and other low frequency sources. It is packaged in a rugged die-cast body with a hardened external screen that ensures protection from accidental impact. The KBM412's wide dynamic range and fast transient response produces an open, detailed sound with extra punch when mic'ing kick drums, large percussive instruments, and bass guitar amplifiers.
DSM1
Easy adjustment to fit most lug-type drums. Features quick release design. Integral shock isolator allows for extraordinary reduction of mechanical and harmonic noises.

Feature:
The drum clips were very nice and sturdy. No noise during recording. But if you own a cheap set of drums, these clips may not fit around the lug, so make sure you check on the dimensions first. They should fit most sets, however. The mics look really sharp and the case is a plus. The features were great on this set of mics.
Quality:
I don't think these things will ever break down. Built very ruggedly.
Value:
Like I said, for the price you pay, this is worth the money.
Sound:
I gave this a 7 because of the price:quality ratio. You get what you pay for. The bass mic is not that great. It has no attack and is very muffled. However, the three tom/snare mics work surprisingly well. The toms were nice and punchy. I use an SM57 for the snare, though. I think these mics would do nicely live rather than in the studio.
Support:
Haven't had to deal with them yet.
Overall:
These are good to start out with, but if you want a really great sound, I'd replace the bass with an AKG D-112 and the snare with a Sure SM57. Then I'd invest in some good overheads like the Rode NT5s. The tom mics are sufficient enough, though.
