Product Description

The CAD C195 is a superior low-noise, electret condenser cardioid microphone designed for professional vocalists and musicians. The CAD C195 provides the performance and features to satisfy today's most demanding professionals.

The wide and flat frequency response of the CAD C195 provides unsurpassed natural transparent sound quality. The cardioid pickup pattern minimizes annoying feedback (when used close to sound reinforcement speakers and monitors) and reduces the pickup of unwanted off-axis sounds. A transformerless electronic design provides optimum low frequency response and low distortion. An effective internal multistage pop filter minimizes wind and breath noise.

The CAD C195 has a Flex-Form (tm) hardened steel grille screen that dramatically resists deformation while greatly reducing any risk of adverse performance caused by a bent or dented ball screen. This unique ability to retain its original shape assures that the CAD C195 will maintain its attractive appearance.

The CAD C195 features the CAD exclusive (I.N.R.-3 tm) Impact Noise Rejection system. Our proprietary rubber shock mount isolates the transducer from the barrel, thus dramatically reducing cable, stand and handling noise. The need for any external shock mounting device is virtually eliminated.

The low-frequency response of the CAD C195 may be enhanced by increasing or decreasing the distance from the sound source. This phenomenon is technically known as proximity effect. Nominal or flat response is generated at a distance of 24 inches or more. However, as the distance to the sound source decreases, the bass sensitivity increases, providing a solid, robust character.

The CAD C195 is supplied complete with a snap-in microphone swivel-mount. zZounds is an authorized dealer of CAD products.

Sound: The sound reproduction is very realistic, very true-to-life. Once I tried condenser mics, I was hooked. Feature: Pretty basic as far as features. Came with a mic stand mount. I like the finish, mesh screen looks very sturdy. Ease of Use: Sound characteristics are very good; not hard to dial in a pleasing level and tone. I've used this mic for live solo-ing, choral singing, home recording, even vocal practice. Quality: CAD mics have generally served me very well. I have never been disapointed in their performance. Value: Value is excellent. Great bang for the buck. Remarkable performance for a low price. Manufacturer Support: Have not dealt with them. The Wow Factor: Sex appeal? I don't think so! It's a microphone. But as far as mic's go, it's a handsome mic, nice color contrast between the screen and frame. Looks great, performs great, reasonably priced... what more could you ask for? Overall: I'm very satisfied with this mic and with CAD mics in general. They are typically very well made and perform well. While many more expensive (and probably better performing) mics are on the market, I'm not afraid to bring these out to be mishandled, dropped, bumped... they still deliver great sound for their price and if it breaks (hasn't happened yet) ...I'll get another and it won't break the bank. I'm always on the look-out for a great deal and I have found that I usually end up with a CAD when it comes to microphones.

"Cad C195 - Love it!"
Sound: I love this Mic. Use it at practice & for our live shows. Excellent sound with very little gain needed. Feature: What features do you need? - I really like the mesh screen. Ease of Use: Plug it in and sing, what else is there. Quality: Never any problems Value: Best for the money - my money anyway. Did I mention I love this mic. Manufacturer Support: Haven't needed it. The Wow Factor: I like the coloring - Much better looking than (chrome) Overall: Did I mention I love this Mic! - I actually somehow lost my first one at our last gig. Or it's somewhere in someones gear but I can't find it. Either way I just ordered another one. If my first one shows up I'll have 2 and that'll be just fine. I'm thinking about getting one for everyone in the band anyway.
