"great tone, great sounding reverb"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
just bought it. My goal - a great sounding low wattage amp to add to my multi-amp setup primarily for studio use. It fits the bill for sure, and complements the sound of the Tiny Terror beautifully (and other amps in my setup nicely too). Tone - If I take one amp with me (plus a cab) to jams and small gigs, this could turn out superceding the Tiny Terror which is currently my favourite. But if possible I would like to bring both and run them in my stereo recto 4x12. Low wattage tone - people sometimes think they should use a small cab but these amps really kill through at least a 2x12 and preferably a nice broken in 4x12 w/ V30s! Sound - Articulation and definition are excellent, the "EQ" is far more useful than I imagined it would be (sounded kinda gimmicky but it really does what it says), and the reverb is incredible sounding - something that was missing from my existing bare-bones rig (I don't use many effects). Sweet blooming tone, batman! I've only had it for a few days but I know tone and better, I know the tone I love, this contributes to my rig very nicely. I think it would be a great amp for a person who wants to practice or do jams, with some good features that make it a really interesting practice amp...many small practice amps fall so short in the tone department...this is great big tube tone with breakup at small volumes. I don't know how much of the signal path is digital vs. tube but whatever it is, it sounds full and thick, not buzzy like many other amps I've read more tried (even bigger ones). Great value and great tone.
