Behringer's Ultrapatch Pro PX3000 is just what you need. The PX3000 returns your attention where it should, to making music, by providing a solution to cable mess and clutter.

This 3-mode multi-functional 48-point balanced patchbay with fully balanced, high-quality 1/4 in. TRS connectors will be a welcome addition to every studio.

Its three modes function as follows:

-- 'Normal' interconnects the two rear jacks of one channel; Inserting a plug into one of the front jacks interrupts the connection of the rear jacks.

-- 'Thru' interconnects each rear jack with its corresponding front jack.

-- 'Half Normal' interconnects the two rear jacks of one channel; inserting a plug into the lower front jack interrupts the connection of the rear jacks. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Behringer products.

Sound: Well a good patchbay should not introduce any sound. This one does not as far as I can tell and I use excellent headphones for reference. Feature: The 3-Mode Multifunctional design is great although having the switches on the front instead of the top you think would be an obvious improvement. But having them on top does help protect your settings once mounted on your rack. I design my rack setup with an open space above and a cover for that slot - if I need to get to the switches it is pretty easy. Ease of Use: If you understand what the switches are for, it is very simple to use. Quality: This piece of equipment seems to be built like a tank; heavy and the switches and jacks seem to be of high quality. The jacks work the way they should and are very smooth. Although I am using this in a studio, I would not hesitate to take it on the road. Value: Great piece of gear for the money; I will add another when the time comes to upgrade my studio. Manufacturer Support: Have not needed any The Wow Factor: It looks great and well built the design aesthetics go great in the studio and looks very professional. Overall: I would replace this with the same if it were to wear out. I would also buy another if I needed to expand.

Value: Just avarage. Cheap price, cheap product Manufacturer Support: Behringer support is legendary to take forever and cost more than the product. For a price tag below $50, I'd consider it's a consummable. The Wow Factor: All the money you don't pay upfront (for a dbx, neutrik, hosa, tascam,...) you'll spend in hours crawling behind your desk/flight case stacks to check the connections, removing the unit from teh rack to check the switches (which are a good idea, but stupidly located and inaccessible as soon as the unit is racked) Overall: All the money you don't pay upfront (for a dbx, neutrik, hosa, tascam,...) you'll spend in hours crawling behind your desk/flight case stacks to check the connections, removing the unit from teh rack to check the switches (which are a good idea, but stupidly located and inaccessible as soon as the unit is racked)
