The Sonic Maximizer restores the high frequency definition and detail while focusing bass frequencies for any sound source. The new D82 Sonic Maximizer delivers the full capabilities of BBE's 882i and 482i hardware Sonic Maximizer processors with the convenience of digital.

Three knobs,but they do the job.
Value:
Could've been a little cheaper but the sound makes up for it.
Sound:
Way better than I expected.I would disagree that it's a "DOG" of a plugin and it definitely compares to the outboard versions.
Support:
Haven't needed any.
Overall:
It's a simple tool that sounds very sweet and cut's down on the need to EQ.I sometimes can drive myself nuts trying to fix muddy recordings and just end up over EQ'ing everything.This has helped me a great deal.

The sound is as good as the hardware units which are especially suited for live use. A rule of thumb may be applied here which is my opinion only; The better your recording or live gear is, the less you will need this type of processor.
Support:
It took some work to get it up and running on my mac. Could be operator malfunction.
