Crisp & intelligible pickup--far away or up close. In its "Tele" range setting, this cardioid condenser is engineered to pick up dialogue and sound effects at a distance, while bypassing ambient noise such as traffic, air-handling systems, room reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations. Designed especially for use with video cameras.

Overall: I shot my first commercial with this mike. It picked up well, in fact too well as every little noise was heard through it. So next time the set will have to be exceptionally quiet to minimize the extraneous sounds. Good mike for the price.
Style of Music: No style to lock in, ranges from orchestra, R&B, Celtic, Asian, Native America whatever comes out is what you get.

Overall: This mic is great for beginner film makers, for the price, the sound quality is good, offering a nice base level while keeping treble details sharp. The connections that it comes with aren't that good, you will need a shock mount from any music/audio store, or buy it online for $40. Otherwise, sounds from the boom operator can be heard through the pole, and any little bump will sound like an earthquake. The tele feature on the mic is not that great, it creates a large amount of white noise, but it can pick up a surprising amount of detail at long distances.
