7-piece Drum Mic Package - Affordable Quality

The Fusion 7 is a prepackaged set of microphones that offer quality, durability, and affordability. The Fusion series microphones, which provide performance characteristics of products costing many times more, are very useful for rehearsal, small club, school, or as a second set microphones.

All mics come with integrated microphone clip and are packed inside a foam lined aluminum carrying case for safe keeping when the products are not in use.

THE MICS:

F10 (three) - Snare, Toms, Congas, Timbale, Guitar Cabs

The F10 is a cardioid dynamic microphone tuned to capture the resonant frequencies of percussive instruments requiring low mid-bass to upper-bass reproduction. The F10 has a frequency range of 50 Hz - 12 kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels in excess of 135 dB.

F12 (one) - Floor Tom, Kick Drum, Djemb, Cajon,

The F12 is a dynamic cardioid designed for instruments requiring low frequency to mid-frequency reproduction. The F12 has a frequency range of 40 Hz - 10 kHz and the ability to handle sound pressure levels in excess of 135 dB.
Other features include a durable steel grill, die cast zinc body, and integrated mic clip.

F14 (one) - Kick Drum

The F14, a dynamic cardioid microphone tuned to the resonant frequency of a kick drum, provides a nice warm tone with definition and attack. The F15 is a condenser instrument microphone designed for instruments requiring detailed reproduction in mid-high and extended high end frequency ranges. Characterized with a tailored frequency response of 100 Hz - 20 kHz, the F15 is ideally suited for drum overheads and percussion toys. A wide

As I said, I don't own the set, I just borrowed it, so I can't say anything in the long-term, but they got the job done quickly, painlessly, and efficiently, with a decent sound. Can't say much more than that!

Sound
While they're no professional mics, this kit makes it easy to get a decent-sounding recording for a decent price. Great for slightly advanced demo recordings, but you'll probably want to get some nicer mics for a full-length recording, especially if you're playing more aggressive music styles (I recorded for a metal band). Overall, pretty decent.

Features
On the plus-side, they come with good quality mounting systems. On the minus-side, you've gotta screw them in with the mics attached (except for the condensers) as they're part of the microphone casing. I can see this being an annoyance in applications where you're borrowing somebody else's equipment, but if you just leave them attached to mic stands/clips, you shouldn't have any problems at all!

Ease of Use
Pretty damned simple. Hook 'em up, mess with the placement a little bit, and start recording. Sort of "set and forget" :)

Quality
I don't own the mics, so I can't say anything about the long-term quality, but for what I used them for, they worked out just fine. They seemed of good fit & finish.

Value
For less than half the price of some of the more… read more ridiculous single microphones, this kit is perfect for small project studio/garage/practice space recordings. There are better mics out there for sure, but for the price this kit is one of the best, most cost-effective ways to get some decent drums recorded.

It's pretty sweet to be able to take a small, nice-looking case and a couple of booms/clips/cables and go record somewhere :)
