"For home - PERFECT."
Feature:
Minimalist. 3 tone adjust + a deep shape button, input gain, output volume knobs. We also have cd/line input plug (cool feature, you are also possible to plug another guitar on it, if you want to jam with your mate) headphone output (of course you hear the plugged aux device too), and an 8 ohm aux speaker connection possibility (did not try it). Big mistake, that this stuff does not have a line out plug (you can use headphone out, but this cuts off the speaker). Also pretty dumb, that the power button is on the very back of the combo, hard to reach.
Quality:
UK manufactured, built to last. Pretty heavy, they used a lots of material. In your room, it will survive for long. One thing, that worries me: the control panel is on the top of this cutie. If you spill something on it, it will probabably die.
Value:
For this price, you can't beat it. Sound is perfect. If you need a bass combo for home, or smaller gigs, this is for you.
Desirability:
Nice baby. It's a cube, with a cool Ashdown wing logo on it's front. Looks fine.
Sound:
Awesome tone. Clear highs, deep lows. Pure Ashdown sound, perfect for practicing. It's pretty loud for 30 Watts, but don't forget, this is a practice amp, you don't want to play with it in the Wembley.
Support:
Haven't deal with them. The combo comes in a huge box. Too huge.
Overall:
I think, if something happens to this baby, i will buy another ashdown. It depends only on money, which type. If a firm makes such things on that price, then i'll choose them, if i can.
