Great compression makes a huge difference in your music; it can turn a mediocre demo into a processional-quality production. The 3630 Compressor is designed as a high-quality, versatile compression unit which can be used live or in the studio with consistent results. The 3630 is a dual-channel compressor that offers Ratio, Threshold, Attack, and Decay controls to handle the toughtest signals. You can choose between RMS and Peak compression styles, plus Hard and Soft Knee dynamic curves for every application from subtle gain control to in-your face punch. Plus, 2 fully independent gates give you even more control when dealing with difficult signals. Other advanced dynamics processing features such as precise signal metering, a sidechain for keying or ducking effects, and stereo linkable operation make the 3630 the most powerful compressor in its class. zZounds is an authorized dealer of Alesis products.

Sound: Punchy, tight sound. Probably bad for rock music or a live band. GREAT for house music, techno. Used by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, Patrick Alavi, High Caliber and many other house music groups. Feature: all the necessary knobs that you would need in a dynamics processing unit. Quality: mine is beat up, but the sound it clean Value: this is the best compressor for the money Manufacturer Support: never dealt with tech support The Wow Factor: this product is a sleeper, it is generally disliked by the audio tweeks, but for house music it is the BOMB! Overall: overall, this is probably the best sounding dynamics processor you can own without spending upwards of $1000

"Made to last you in any usage setting with no regrets"
Sound: The sond delivered after compression is very neutral and clean with GOOD DYNAMICS and clarity. No doubt this compressor is the best of its kind. TS inputs/outputs are perfect for insert mixers with additional sidechains. Alesis is good! Feature: Good Ease of Use: Easy to learn in using the functions in no time. Quality: Well-made to last Value: Cheapest and yet the best compressor in its range Manufacturer Support: Good. The Wow Factor: Want it in no time. Why not. Overall: Good enough for studio and live usage, this compressor delivers wonders as the sound produced is what you want in transparency and neutrality. Alesis did it all. No regrets for this lightweight platform that is made to serve its master for good.
