AKG WMS40 MINI2 Dual Instrumental Guitar Wireless System

Get wireless freedom for two guitars (or a guitar and bass) with some of the smallest, lightest bodypack transmitters around, in AKG's WMS40 Mini2 system.

The WMS 40 Mini2 Instrumental Set Dual ensures brilliant sound and ease of use at an unbeatable price/performance ratio. Unique HDAP (High Definition Audio Performance) technology ensures the best possible, most realistic sound at any time.

The SR 40 Mini2 receiver provides three status LEDs each for channels 1 and 2, indicating On/Off status, received signal strength (RF OK), and audio clipping (AF Clip). The Volume control sets the level at the 1/4" output jack. Each receiver comes with a universal 12-V switched mode power supply with EU, UK, and US adapters. The illuminated On/Off button switches both channels on and off simultaneously.

The PT 40 Mini bodypack is probably the smallest and lightest transmitter in its class. A reliable mini XLR input allows you to connect every compatible AKG miniature microphone. Battery life is the same legendary 30 hours off a single AA battery as for the standard WMS 40 models, reducing the need to replace batteries and thus saving real money in the long run.

The system includes an SR 40 Mini2 receiver, 2 PT 40 Mini bodypack transmitters, 2 MKG L instrument cables, a universal power supply with US/UK/EU adapters, and 2 AA size dry batteries.

For all those "purists" who believe you need a cord to maintain your guitar sound, you need to re-think your views. After thoroughly researching many different wireless brands and reading countless forums I was still undecided on what to try. I decided to try the AKG mini due to it's price and reviews. I figured, if I wasn't impressed, I wasn't going to be out a lot of money. Well....I could not be more impressed or happier I did decide to try this unit. Great sound and ease of use right out of the box. Plus, zZounds shipped quickly and their staff answered all my questions to put me at ease with my first wireless purchase. I let my lead guitar player friend who is an absolute "tone is everything" guy try it out. He previously owned another wireless brand which cost him $345 which he stopped using due to his loss of "tonal quality". Guess what.....he ordered one of the single mini units on the spot!! If you've ever wondered about going wireless, buy one of these AKG units, you will be glad you did!!
