Peavey ValveKing amps feature a patent-pending, variable Class A-A/B control called Texture, which allows sweepable selection between Class A and Class A/B power structures, as well as any combination of the two. With this feature, guitarists can coax virtually any tone from this tweaked-out amplifier. The amp's preamp and power sections use 12AX7 and 6L6GC tubes, respectively. Learn More...

Feature:
this amp has two channels rhythm with three {vintage, modern, crunch}voice
settings. the crunch sounds like a light dirty channel good for playiny
metal.
the lead channel has three{british, modern, ultra}settings the british setting is good for older beatles era music. the modern is good for ACDC type distortion or VanHalen pinching highs and awsome toned lead and the ultra is full on high ballsy distortion
Quality:
as all peavey products it is solid as a rock. takes a lickin and keeps on kickin.
Value:
this head has the best sound and features for price value ive ever seen
tube quality for a fraction of the price
Desirability:
great trible look,or cool straightforward look on reverse side of face plate
Sound:
better than any other solid state amp. including marshall ss amps. it's
not as good sounding as a high end tube amp.{rivals some cheaper tube amps}this is as close to tube sound as you can get with ss,{high quality}
this amp has a lot features and almost tube like sound at an umbelivable price
Support:
havent had to contact
Overall:

Feature:
Yeah it includes a footswitch, but it's made of cheap plastic, and wrongfuly labeled. The damping and power switches are a PLUS, but the footswitch still sucks. I wish it had an Acutronics Reverb instead of the digital.
Quality:
It's built like a rock! factory QC seems good for the last 20years... I bet this amp will last a few years before it goes out. I would gig without a backup (anyways i'm selling my backup!)
Value:
it's just in the money, wouldn't pay more than 400 for it.
Desirability:
the tribal faceplate is nice, but i never thought it would be a monster in real life size, it's overwhelmingly big, but it makes it look kind of METAL. I also needed a nice budget good reliable amp.
Sound:
It's versatile, good clean tone and nice overdrive type lead chanel, the amp is very sensitive to dynamics, and i play with mucho bends and vibratos!, Yeah this amp can get you THERE! I will be using a lot the clean chanel it's ultra clean and airy at high volumes. I Use a Warlock guitar with DiMarzio X2N and Air Norton 2 PU's, and a BOSS BF1 and works just fine for me I play in a progressive rock jazz band.
Support:
Never dealt with them. But i hear good things.
Overall:
I expect to take a good 5 years with the amp, I might even replace it, I still hope to buy a MESA in a year or so... jjejeje
