"good sound, good price, compact, solid package"

Feature:
It allows passive mixing of mike and line input, which is good for playing with drum machine.

Quality:
Very good quality, solid, a bit heavy. Good bass, clear vocals.

Value:
Very good sound for the money

Desirability:
It rocks, compares well with SRM450

The sound is good, fairly flat and clear, with a decent thump. It is much louder than the Behringer powered 12.

We bought a pair of PR 12Ps thinking that they would do for now, until we could afford the (Mackie) 450s. Wow are we surprised! The upper midrange sharpness of the 450 is not there in the PR12P. This makes the EQ set up much easier and our vocals are so clear without being sharp. These are very easy to listen to for hours. The speaker is rated down to 54Hz and seems to go well into the 40s. We have used the kick drum mic and can hear the drum coming through fine and the vocals still clear and undistorted. The power range is good enough for a 100 person or smaller club. Description
The PR 12P is top in its class of powered speakers. Powered by Peavey's class H bi-amped system, the PR 12P delivers a total of 270 watts. The premium 12 inch woofer is powered with 200 watts while the 1.4 inch compression driver gets an additional 70 watts, which are combined to create a great sounding system that's crystal clear. Both amplifiers feature DDT compression, which virtually eliminates audible power amplifier clipping. The PR 12P also makes an excellent stand alone PA. The built-in 3 channel mixer with individual volume controls as well as mic and 1/4 inch inputs make quick setups an easy task. Made of high-impact polypropylene, the PR 12P has molded handles, a stand pole mount and multiple mounting points for permanent installations.
