"KB37 audio interface with MIDI controller"

Feature:
GearBox is the software that controls everything on KB37. For example, wich input device will be used, which preamp etc. The software satisfy, very well, my needs.

Quality:
100% plastic. For my usage, on my home studio table, it´s perfect. Lightweight too. On the road usage I would use a hard case.

Value:
MIDI Controller Keyboard, 2 phantom power mics in, 1 P10 guitar/bass in etc etc. You can record everything here, for a low cost. Great value.

Desirability:
Very attractive device.

Sound:
GearBox (software that comes with KB37) comes with MAC and Windows versions. I use a Mini Mac. Sound is crystal and clean. Recorded guitar/acoustic guitar and vocals For vocals I use a Behringer B2 Pro mic condenser (phantom) in one of the two mic ins of the KB37. Sounds great! Noiseless. Perfect.

Ease of Use:
Just install GearBox and plug USB cable. I use Garaband for recording but I´ll upgrade for some professional software in the future.

Support:
The best, never talked to them.

Overall:
The big advantage of KB37 in my opinion is the MIDI controller (keyboard). I don´t play keyboard but I can make my drums and percussion very well on it. Also some organ chords... I highly recommend this unit. Very stable (on MAC), noiseless, NO LATENCY, power supplied by the same USB cable you use for data transfer, etc etc... If you want an audio interface and will need a MIDI controller, buy it.

"Awesome tone, easy to use, customizable and worth the cost!"

Feature:
This thing does it all. As soon as it was hooked up it did everything guitarwise that it says. The interface in Gearbox is very easy to use. You need to create your own user sounds if you want to access them because you can only change tone by clicking with the mouse or scrolling with a pedal or on the KB37 to the next tone. No big deal. I wish the assignable buttons could jump directly to the patch that I assign it. Maybe next time.

Quality:
Plastic case and keys are a little cheesy but it just sits on my desk so that is no big deal.

Value:
Other interfaces may cost the same and include far fewer features. You can by a POD for the same price. One guy I know bought a digital recording system for $800. He was certainly pissed when I told him that I paid $200 for my toneport which does the same stuff.

Desirability:
Maybe I don't get this question but I wanted it enough to buy it!

Sound:
Tone Direct really works. No latency, even on a crappy laptop. Amp models and effects are sooooo good and infinitely tweakable. I don't have any add-on packs but you could add more tones. I use my amp as a monitor and it sounds better than anything I have ever used. MIDI keyboard is as good as what ever soundcard or plugins you have.

Ease of Use:
Every patch is awesome and if you don't like it, make your own tone. Just install it plug it in and go.

Support:
Support only available in a discussion board. No phone support but my question was answered so it worked for me.

Overall:
This will do fine for what I need it for. I use Garageband to record and now I have some really awesome guitar sounds. The keyboard is handy but the only reason I am not giving 10 is that I expected the KB37 to have at least a few keyboard tones in gearbox. Strictly a controller and no real advantage over the ux2. I already have another keyboard so I probably could have gone with the ux2.
