"Frickin' AWESOME!"

Feature:
Ten bands. Two ways to adjust the volume. Kerry King-related. Dual Outputs. Wow. Thats all I need to know.

Value:
Only $130 for a ten band EQ thats related to Kerry King? Ill take that!

Desirability:
This thing is pretty sexy. Its black with a tattoo spanning almost half of it. Its kind of dull, but it just screams "THRASH!".

Sound:
I havent used it yet, but its Kerry King, OK? Thats all I need to know. But wait, theres more... this thing shapes your guitar like none other! Ten bands. Thats awesome. But ten bands AND Kerry King? Thats, like, unholy. Seriously.

Ease of Use:
The mantra "Easy to learn, hard to master" applies here. Its easy to use (just stomp on the button and jam), but its hard to master. Trying to find your sound requires time. But that comes with the territory of EQs.

Overall:
Theres a reason that this will be one of my Christmas gifts (along with the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone - another amazing pedal). Its got ten bands, two ways to adjust the volume, two outputs, and most importantly, its KERRY KING! I cant wait to use it!

"Graphic Equalizer makes the difference"

Feature:
Basically the same unit as the MXR M108 - 10 frequency bans, plus Level & Gain sliders (a nice feature to have both of these.) The big plus here are the two output jacks, which give you more uses like feeding an external device or placing in a stereo FX loop. I selected this unit because 10 bans are better than 5, 6 or 7 as other guitar units offer; but it's not "overkill" for a guitar box, as opposed to a multi-channel 30+ ban studio unit. The unit includes an adapter - GOOD.

Quality:
Built well ... heavy & solid. Everything "feels" good.

Value:
"Perhaps" one of the lesser EQ's would be suitable for some (ala the Boss or, heaven forbid, that plastic Behrenger model); for me, this 10-ban unit hit the mark.

Desirability:
I definitely wanted a standalone, external graphic equalizer. This unit hit the mark exactly.

Sound:
The sound and tone-shaping is excellent. It's absolutely the only way i'll ever play. This unit is like part of my amp ... i never hook up without it. Just running from my guitar through it into my amp, alone, is execllent, without any other devices. You can shape your guitar's signal so well that you can achieve almost any tonal point you desire. For instance, my Stat, which is already a beautiful-sounding instrument, is greatly enhanced using this unit. Sound/tone shaping is all about frequency adjustment. A Graphic Equalizer is the best way to accomplish this. EQ'ing at the amp and in stomp boxes isn't enough ... every player needs to have the flexibility to shape the sound coming FROM the guitar, coming OUT of a box, and INTO the power stage. This unit allows you to move it around within your mix to achieve the best results. As a matter of fact, i presently use TWO EQ boxes - this one, and my MXR M108 (the next model down...almost the same unit as this one), to shape the sound before AND after an effects box; or i place this one in my FX loop to shape the signal coming into the power stage.

Ease of Use:
"Easy" to use .... sliders etc. NOT so "easy" in practice (i.e., locating proper levels / adjustments for your playing) ... but that's not a minus, since EQ'ing is all about fine-tuning, and that can take time. To me, it's part of the fun to find a new tone or fine tune an existing configuration and suddenly find something better.

Support:
No opinion.

Overall:
Best-in-bread. Graphic Eq'ing is absolutely essential for sound-shaping and texturizing one's sounds. This unit is perfect for guitar players .... enough frequency bans, sturdy for regular use, very easy to set up and use, TWO ways to adjust volume/loudness ... in short, GET IT.

About This Product!
Description
If MXR's M-108 10-Band EQ isn't heavy enough for you, check out its evil twin, the Kerry King 10-Band. Designed in conjunction with the legendary Slayer guitarist, this beastly, tattoo-covered pedal sports the same great features and hardcore construction as the M-108, but the King can punish two amps at once thanks to its dual outputs. Use it as a boost for solos or to create thrash-approved, scooped-mid rhythm tones. Create raging sustain and feedback while getting more thunderous low-end out of your rig than you ever thought possible. The Kerry King 10-Band EQ: Use with caution. And don't say we didn't warn you.

Controls:
Footswitch toggles effect on/hardwire bypass (illuminated sliders indicates on)

Ten sliders enable boost or cut up to 12dB at 31.25Hz, 62.5Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 16kHz

Separate Input Gain and Output Level sliders (+/- 12dB)

Dual outputs for stereo applications
