"Best amp < $1000"

Feature:
Just basic features, revereb is a little weak. The boost switch more than makes up for it though.

Quality:
Never had any problems with quality. I've been playing this thing at 8-10 volume for a full year.

Value:
Totally beats the crap out of any solid state amp I've ever heard. Way better than any Marshall, Crate, Randall in its price range.

Desirability:
Nothing special about the looks, but if was hot pink I'd still have bought it.

Sound:
The sound is definately for heaver styles, no cream, tons of crunch. Great scooped sound; but sounds even better with boosted mids. I don't like the clean channel, its a little harsh sounding, but not bad for a tubeless anp.

Support:
Never needed it

Overall:
Insane value and good Distortion channel. But the clean channel is too harsh, reverb not strong enough. The cabinet is an even better deal.

"If you find a better amp for $500 to $600, let me know!"

Feature:
It has all you need to play with the style you like. The boost and shift knobs are a plus to change the tone of the sound you're playing and the only thing that would make more of a plus is asecond input jack...

Quality:
I've played on a Mesa Boogie, Marshall and Line 6 amps and none of these other amps have been built like this head or it's cab. It's truly worth every dollar they ask for in the price and maybe even more. You should see the product at the store if you can to get a better look at it.

Value:
The cost for this amp is incredible. At $300 a piece, how can you beat that? It's a full 100 watts of awesome sound. No other head in this price range can sound as great as this does.

Desirability:
The overall looks just appeal to you. The mesh is a charcoal gray color which is somewhat reflective and it just looks awesome aside any guitar. I personally play a Gibson Les Paul with a heritage cherryburst and the guitar looks great with it.

Sound:
The sound is very crisp and clear coming from the cab it was designed to be played on. (The Ibanez 412A) It has enough power to literally rock things and during practices it would vibrate most of the pieces on the drum sets!

Support:
My head is under a warranty and the Ibanez has been very easy to deal with. There hasn't been a problem yet and I've been blasting this thing at full blast for nearly a couple of months now without a problem.

Overall:
I am 100% satisfied. It's my first half stack purchase and I've been blown away with the power it has for the money I put into it. Truly a value for any guitarist.

About This Product!
Description
Why is the newest name in amps the fast growing name in amps? Because Ibanez recognized that the world didn't need another amp dedicated to recreating the sounds of yesteryear. Instead they came with amps spec'ed and voiced for today's tones. Obviously, they did something right, because players and retailers kept telling us they wanted more -- and they wanted bigger. For 2003, after endless hours of R&D and testing, here is more and bigger: the new Ibanez 100-watt stack and combo amplifiers.

Features:
100-watt head with reverb

2 footswitchable discrete channels (clean and crunch) w/independent active 3-band EQ and level controls

Footswitchable mid-shift on the overdrive channel

"Crunch" circuit available on the clean channel

Effects loop

Headphone jack

Footswitch jack

4-button metal footswitch
