With its Aged Whiskey Burst finish and Flamed Maple top, back, and sides, the love of jazz history emanates from the Ibanez AF151AWB. The bound Ebony fingerboard sports medium frets with edges that are noticeably smooth to a sliding hand, the product of a skilled crimping technique generally found on instruments costing twice as much. The neck construction is set-in, the bridge is made of rosewood, and at the headstock end is a bone nut. As for the pickup-- no less than Ibanez's famous Super 58 Custom, known for its balanced tone character as well as its sonic fullness. Whether restrained to "jazz-clean" or cranked up to "rockin' blues dirty," the Super 58 Custom gets the job done.
