"2 months in and I'm loving my iDJ"

Feature:
It is very bare bones, simple crossfader, simple bass/mid/high control and mic level control. For the price range though their aren't going to be a lot of bells and whistles.

Quality:
I've only been using mine for 2 months now but thus far the quality is great and I have no complaints. I'm rating it an 8 simply because I haven't used it long enough to fairly judge.

Value:
Compared to what I paid for my previous Stanton CD players and mixer this is an exceptional value. If you are a trivia host, bar DJ, or someone looking for a basic entry level system this is the way to go.

Desirability:
It looks visually appealing, the blue backlight draws the eye. I recently DJ'd a car show and awards dinner and had many people come up to me asking about the equipment and commenting on how much they liked the iDJ unit.

Sound:
I have no complaints with the sound quality from this unit. Obvisouly the quality of the MP3 file being played is the most important factor here.

Ease of Use:
Exceptionally easy to use, the biggest thing you can do to help yourself out is to organize your iTunes music and make sure all the names are correct before you start.

Support:
Again I'm tossing out an average number here of 8 simply because I've never had to deal with Numark because I've never had any issues.

Overall:
If the next few months are as smooth and flawless as the first few have been I'll be extrememly pleased with the iDJ. I'm planning on buying a 2nd one soon to keep in my equipment case as a back up.

"A soon to be collector's item--The third best accessory for your IPod."

Feature:
The package came with the very, very bare essentials to play with. But who has or travels with 2 IPods and what DJ mixes without pitch control or some way of matching BPMs?! That is the most essential part of calling anything a MIXING console. This is nothing but a glorified crossfader for IPods...until I can figure out how to connect a hard drive and scroll through the listing of sound files without a display on the unit. A couple of RCA line in/out cables would've been a nice addition as well.

Quality:
Clean, ergonomic layout...even down to the spindle hole underneath to lay the console on top of a turntable.

Value:
No, I think for the features provided the price point is set too high.

Desirability:
It's a pretty hot looking item. An eyecatcher actually. Definitely makes you look twice. But like I said before, "Who runs around with 2 IPods?!" The Numark iDJ2 will be THE mixing console to get with IPod fans everywhere. But for mixing off any harddrive, I'd rather have the all in one Numark HDMIX when it becomes available.

Sound:
It pretty much sounds fine. I can't detect any flaws in the sound reproduced from the IPod, but then again it was amplified and transmitted through my home stereo.

Ease of Use:
Extremely easy, except for how to connect a hard drive and view/select the files. Plus NO pitch controls.

Overall:
I only got this to test out since the iDJ2 and HDMIX aren't available yet. I doubt I'll ever use it again after that. This is more of an IPod novelty than anything else.
