Completely redesigned interface. Enhanced DSP engine. X-Gear included.

The AmpliTube 2 Live interface presents a gorgeous photo-realistic replica of modeled amps and effects that are familiar to every guitarist for immediate sound recognition. Any parameter you need is never more than 2 clicks away, making AmpliTube 2 Live the fastest effects processor available for the realization of even the most complex guitar sound.

The interface is supported by leading DSP modeling which improves the award winning sound of AmpliTube to a new standard of realism. AmpliTube 2 Live uses a new ultra-accurate analog modeling technology developed by IK engineers with years of research in circuitry modeling: DSM or "Dynamic-Saturation Modeling". With DSM analog circuits are emulated down to a detail of finesse which cannot be offered by any other effects modeler: setting a new industry standard for state of the art analog modeling.

Thanks to DSM AmpliTube 2 Live, for the first time, brings out dynamic nuances that a guitarist expects from their most coveted hardware gear. AmpliTube 2 Live offers the unlimited amount of authentic tonal character that guitarists are looking for.

In addition, Cabinet simulation is refined even more and is now able to respond more like the original speakers down to the very smallest sonic detail. Plus, greatly enhanced microphone modeling with different timbral responses give the final touch to a virtual rig that never before sounds so much like the real thing.

Custom Amp building
AmpliTube 2 Live allows separate components of the read more guitar amp such as the amp and cabinet to be mixed and matched allowing the possibility of building your very own customized amp. With 3 amp models, 4 cabinets and 2 different microphones, an unbelievable amp combinations are possible. This unique AmpliTube 2 Live feature offers guitarists the ability to get more sounds than any other guitar modeling processor, be it hardware or software.

9 highly sought-after stompboxes
AmpliTube 2 Live includes models of 9 highly sought-after stomp boxes including Chorus, Flanger, Opto-Tremolo, Delay, Wah, Overdrive, Compressor, Graphic EQ, and Volume. See all the included models in the interface section. Up to 5 simultaneous stomp-boxes can be configured and played through all at once with the available pedal boards.

12 amp combinations with 3 heads and 4 cabinets
AmpliTube 2 Live includes models of 3 of the best high-gain heads of all times including models based on* the Fender(R) Deluxe Reverb(R), and, Marshall(R) JCM800 and a Bass Amp. All the matching cabinets are provided together with more cabinets and stacks and 2 microphone models to provide the largest variety of amp sounds.

Standalone version with SpeedTrainer
The standalone version of AmpliTube 2 Live sports the same features of the plug-in plus includes SpeedTrainer: an integrated audio player that gives you separate pitch and speed controls for learning any of your favorite riffs by slowing tempos of guitar solos without changing the pitch. SpeedTrainer allows you to drag any WAV or MP3 from your hard disk (even iTunes files!) and set loop points easily for playing over and tracking your preferred songs. An included metronome (set by BPM or Tap) is also very useful for the studying and practicing guitarist.

DSM - Dynamic Saturation Modeling
DSM is a new and exclusive IK Multimedia technology used in the emulation of analog circuitry. DSM was designed to increase the response realism and playability of critical analog circuit models. Musicians always felt digital emulations of high quality analog gear (such as guitar amplifiers) to be good but not completely satisfying because of the lack of certain "playability" and "musicality" qualities that only the real thing provides. DSM has been designed to improve this aspect.

DSM gives special and unique results when applied to circuit emulations where the non-linearity is the main characteristic of the processor, such as in distortion, fuzz, overdrive stomp boxes, tube guitar preamplifiers and power amps, and analog compressors and limiters. The DSM working principle is based on a new approach never applied to DSP "analog modeling" until now. Analog circuits, especially Tube and Class-A discrete ones, are not dynamically-linear, but have been modeled this way by today's technology. An analog circuit's character is never constantly shaped but varies depending on lots of parameters, first and foremost the strength, frequency and harmonic content of the incoming signal.

DSM takes the next step. It continuously adapts the "shape" of the analog circuit instead of applying a static snapshot. By using more complex mathematical functions, a more articulated and musical response is possible, making DSM ideal for modeling tube preamps and tube power amps.

Traditional emulations are forced to a tradeoff between, for example, those kind of distortions that appear only when a 2x6L6 tube power amplifier is driven to its limit and the cleaner sound it has when it's driven normally.

DSM delivers a dynamic response that continuously morphs and "follows" the incoming signal; in other words, that follows the music.

This leads to an accuracy that cannot be found in any other modeling hardware or software today, respecting all the signal nuances exactly like a real analog circuit would do with a grade of realism and musicality never achieved before.
