Feature:
I like the minimalist concept; however, including a few more of the primary adjustmests would have been best. For example, the LFO speed and depth
Quality:
It looks good, it sounds good, its efficient, and it includes the most well rounded set of presets of any VSTI that Ive experienced. The presets cover a broad spectrum; basically everything that the full synth can do well. Each preset can be tweaked and resaved as a new patch.
Value:
These are the best bargains in the softsynth market.
Desirability:
The GUI is very professional looking. More importantly, the whole instrument is geared toward efficiency, including the preset selection tool.
Sound:
Top quality sound, especially considering the very small CPU usage
Support:
Ive had two dealings with NI customer support. Both were very quick and exceeded my expectations.
Overall:
There will always be a place for these in the mix, even if its just as bass, pads and backing.

Feature:
There are few parameters to change. You can adjust volume & tone and there is an EFFECT knob. The effect is different for each patch and cannot be changed.
Quality:
These synths do not have any CPU load on my PC (P4,2GHz,1.5G ram).
They load quick and the preset menus get along with my sequencer (FL Studio) There really is a difference between the free and cheap synths on the net and the NI Xpress line.
Value:
I have not seen anything close in value: 3 synths- VST and standalone- and they all sound great!
Desirability:
The GUI is very important to me- if it doesn't look good then it doesn't feel good either. The look definitely reflects the sound.
Sound:
The sound is just as good as the full versions of the synths. Very impressive for the price.
Support:
I have not needed support so I cannot give an accurate rating.
Overall:
I have already bought the full versions of FM7 and Pro 53. After trying the Xpress line I knew they would be worth the price. I still use the Xpress synths just as much as the full versions.
